Small boutique hotel, with only 12 rooms . We stayed in a room with pool access. The steps were steep into the pool so unsuitable for disabled guests. The pool was warm and clean and there was a bar. Our room was very spacious, huge bed , sofa and tv. Water and snacks refreshed daily. Breakfast was a La carte and you had to order the night before. You can have breakfast in the restaurant or served in your room . We tried various hot dishes for the main course but each one was served cold… baked beans and poached egg not good cold. For breakfast for the last few days all we had was fruit juice , yoghurt and croissants . The staff were very friendly but everything was taken at a very slow pace… one evening we ordered two drinks at the bar and it took half an hour for them to reach us, and we were the only people in the bar , the portion of French fries took 50 mins and were again , cold when served. La villa is half an hour walk from town and beach , but a taxi only costs about £3 to each way. Sometimes the cleaning staff after servicing our room did not lock the door. On the last full day we went on a boat trip , we’re away from hotel for five hours and on return our room had not been cleaned. With only 12 rooms surely 5 hours is long enough to get sorted. After all the breakfasts being served cold we chose not to eat in the restaurant for dinner , there are plenty of good restaurants near the beach. The pool access room is not suitable for disabled or restricted movement guests as there are two deep steps up the the bed area and one for the lounge tv area. The air con is very efficient. The bathroom and shower huge , no problems there , with clean pool and bathroom towels everyday . There is a balcony outside of bedroom , with table and two chairs and a lounge bed. If you are a sun worshipper there is not a suitable area to lay in. A pleasant stay but doubt that we will be back , very expensive for what you get.
