This was one of the finest meals I had during my week in Avignon.  More casual and relaxed than the other top two places.  Great for families, inexpensive and servings to satisfy the biggest eaters. The owner actively involved with every guest party.  A French proprietor fascinated by Italian cuisine.  Cannot recommend this restaurant enough.

We loved our dinner at Le Barrel!! The frame is very beautiful. The menu is original and very unconventional. We ordered a tapenade for entry and a hot dog and a burger as a dish: exceptional! I recommend !!

Le Potager de la Tour

Simple, but tasteful, little restaurant, very quiet as it was Sunday night. My wife is from California so misses good Japanese food. She was really delighted with everything and her entire meal with two glasses of wine cost the same as just the wine in LA. Absolutely charming people. Loved it.

This is a quite good restaurant. The hotel we stayed at was only a ten minute walk from here, the food was of high quality, not only the dishes were good, the wines were great.

Lovely setting outside in the shadow of a big tree. Excellent reception and service. And the food was what you expect from a Michelin star chef. My compliments!

The decoration style is particularly powerful, and at a glance, there are many different characteristics. Very good.

The food was some of the best we have had this year. A set menu, where you choose how many courses you want. Some really interesting combinations eg smoked pear and miso infused white bean sauce as a starter, a caramel glazed cherry tomato. All excellent and the two waiters working their socks off amongst local and foreign diners in French or English as needed.
