Address: MacKenzie Rex Restaurant, 66 Prinsep St, Singapore 188668Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️I want to introduce to you one of my childhood dinning place. My parents would always bring me and my sister here for dinner on the weekend. They said it's where they used to go back when they were a teen. Since then, I've always brought my friends and loved ones here to try it.They're a halal chinese zichar restaurant. What I loved about this is being able to eat really good local food at town at a affordable price. We ordered:1. Hot homemade barley - 10/10 It's very soothing and sweet. I find that it pairs with the dishes really well.2. Hot plate tofu - 10/10 The tofu is very silky and the sauce is thick and flavourful. A must order when you come here.3. Seafood horfun - 10/10 It had wok hey taste and the seafood tasted fresh and was cooked perfectly tender.4. Ngoh hiam - 8/10 It's meat and vegetable wrapped in beancurd skin and deep fried. The flavour and texture was perfect but I think it was too much for 2 pax.5. Sweet and sour fish - 10/10 One of the best sweet and sour fish I've ever had. The fish slices was crispy on the outside but soft and tender on the inside. The sauce was not too sweet and it was enough to coat the fish.6. Chicken Rice - 10/10 They're known for their chicken rice and it's a must try if you're ordering dishes. The staffs are nice and the service is quick. They do provide wet tissue, but do not that it's chargeable. So if you didn't use it, you can bring it to the cashier when you're paying.#singapore
