Equator Monument

The Equator Monument is located on Jalan Khatulistiwa, North Pontianak, West Kalimantan Province. The location is about 3 km from the center of Pontianak City, towards the City of Mempawah and Singkawang This monument is one of the tourism icons of Pontianak City and is always visited by the public, especially tourists who come to Pontianak City.



St. Joseph Parish, Pontianak Cathedral, is a parish of the Roman Catholic Church in the center of the Archdiocese of Pontianak. The Pontianak Cathedral Parish Center is located in Darat Sekip Village - Pontianak City District, in Pontianak City - West Kalimantan. This parish central church building, St Joseph's Church, is a cathedral church -- the seat of the bishop of the Archdiocese of Pontianak; inaugurated on December 19, 2014 by the Governor of West Kalimantan Drs. Cornelis MH, and his blessing on March 19, 2015 -- to coincide with the Feast of St. Joseph according to the Roman Catholic liturgical calendar.[4] Pontianak Cathedral Parish, since its inception, has been pastored by priests from the Capuchin Order (OFMCap). bysawi
