Qatar National Mosque Grand Mosqueجامع الإمام محمد بن عبد الوهاب As Qatar's largest mosque, Imam Abdul Wahab Mosque, also known as the Qatar National Mosque, was completed in 2011. Simple lines, elegant arches, very eye-catching, rich in Islamic traditional architectural features. The mosque has three libraries, separate prayer and fasting bathing halls for men and women, and a dedicated Koranic reciting hall that can accommodate more than 30,000 worshippers. The mosque is beautifully orthodox Islamic architecture, with a fascinating interior, a variety of hand-woven carpets with different patterns and 28 twig ceilings that automatically adjust the light and darkness according to the natural light coming in through the window. The Grand National Mosque was built in memory of his father by Qatar's founder, Sheikh Jassim bin Mohammed Al Thani, named after Mohamed Ibn Abdul Wahabi.
