Do you think Kujukushima is composed of 99 islands? I went there and found out that it is not. The name of Kujukushima comes from the fact that in Japanese, "九九" is an imaginary number indicating quantity, which means "a lot". In fact, Kujukushima consists of 208 islands of different sizes. It feels great to take a cruise to visit the scenery of Kujukushima.



The scenery is very beautiful, similar to Qiandao Lake but different. It is a scenery you can't see in China. I took a lot of beautiful photos. I was so happy! And you can actually climb to the highest point on the boat. The wind is super strong. There is a little excitement in the beauty~ There are no activities on the boat. You can just take pictures of the scenery by yourself. The two boats run once an hour. If you want to experience it, please pay attention to the time! The Japanese service staff are super polite. They greeted and bowed when they got on the boat, and they kept waving on the shore when the boat left the port.



The Sea Shine Aquarium is located in the Pearl Sea Resort. The Ninety-nine Island Aquarium has a nice name - "Sea Shine" (Sea きらら), which means that it is like the brightest light on the sea. This aquarium reproduces the Ninety-nine Island Ocean as it is, and there will be different surprises through each hall. One of the main features is about 100 jellyfish found in the sea of 99 islands. In the jellyfish Symphony Hall, the picture of the jellyfish swimming gracefully is displayed using melodious music and phantom light, and the jellyfish gently flies to create a dreamy atmosphere. It makes people feel relaxed, like listening to a symphony, it is a popular display venue for the aquarium, and it is also the largest jellyfish exhibition in Japan.



I walked there from Sasebo Station. There is a US naval facility nearby, so you can feel that it is a military port. Not far from the US military facility is the Sail Tower. Admission is free, and the history from the end of the Edo period to the Self-Defense Forces is introduced with a large amount of materials. Personally, the materials from the Showa period before the Pacific War were very valuable and made the situation at that time feel more realistic. There is a souvenir corner on the first floor, where navy curry and other items are sold.
