What People Are Saying About Quito

Carondelet Palace

The presidential palace in Quito is located above the famous Plaza de Independence, a Spanish building with a history of more than 400 years. You can visit specific areas, the whole presidential palace is very large, with its own small garden, very beautiful.

Quito Old Town

The old town of Quito is worth a visit. Many attractions such as the National Oath Temple, the former residence of Columbus, the Presidential Palace, the Church of Jesus of Kongpaña, and the Independence Square are all here. The tickets are not expensive. The decoration in the church is very shocking.

Basilica del Voto Nacional

The country vowed that the church was called "Brazilian Rika" 151 meters by locals. It was tall enough to be seen by either side of the city. It was simple enough to go in and there was not much. The top was charged separately, not expensive, and we were tired. The other churches in Quito are more luxurious than this.

Standing on the top of the monument and looking around, you can see a lot of peaks, some are volcanoes, large volume, spectacular, there are some small museums below the surrounding area, there are some knowledge about the north and south equator in the tower, you can participate in these activities (it seems to be paid inexpensive), Here are two addresses, because the first one is not particularly accurate due to technical reasons, we only went on a big one, people will step on both sides of the photo, very commemorative, get off the airport and have a car directly, so that you can save a transportation fee.

Independence Square

Plaza de la Independencia The central square in Quito is not very big, not empty, at a glance, but a park with a monument of independent heroes in the middle, surrounded by many trees and long rafts, many locals sitting leisurely. Its side is Palacio de Carondelet. The presidents of Ecuador since independence have been here, and on the other side of the square is the cathedral of Ecuador.

Church of the Society of Jesus

Iglesia de la Compañía de Jesús. The latter is known as the most gorgeous church in the country. There is a large nave, and the interior is all paved with gold foil. Very elegant and beautiful. The Spanish style of the church is very consistent. I remember that the church in the Philippines is similar, so luxurious.

San Francisco Catholic Church

Just on the side of Quito Independence Square. It is a typical Latin Baroque architecture. The appearance is very simple, the inside is also very simple, there are many tourists, more clergy and churchgoers.

Parque La Carolina

Carolina Park in Quito is a large natural national park in Ecuador. The scenery here is very magnificent, with endless peaks, long and winding coastline, and majestic valleys, all of which make it the most popular natural attraction in Quito.

Calle La Ronda

La Ronda is known as Quito's bohemian street. The short streets are lined with colorful buildings and hung with small colorful flags. The atmosphere is joyful and energetic, which is completely different from the historical city. Since the colonial period, this place has been a gathering place for artists, literati, poets, politicians, etc. Many celebrities in Ecuador have visited. There are still many coffee shops, youth shops and restaurants, all of which are local.

Casa del Alabado

Quito's pre-Columbus era praises the Former Residence Museum, which is where Columbus lived before his life. It is a two-story bungalow, built on the edge of the sea, the scenery is very beautiful. The decoration of the house has a clear Spanish style, the furniture is luxurious, everyone can fully experience the scene of Columbus' life.
