Have you ever seen water this blue? Moraine Lake is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful spots on Earth. What makes the lake this color? Silt, which comes from the glaciers! It's essentially "rock flour" that catches sunlight and makes the water appear brilliantly blue. Travel tip: This lake is only open for 5 months in the summer!

Another favourite lake of mine is Moraine Lake. This lake is surrounded by an imposing mountainous backdrop that will take your breath away!

Johnston Canyon is one of the most popular attractions in Banff National Park. Its a stunning walk through a river canyon that passes 7 waterfalls! You can do this all year round, although winter gets extremely slippery. Johnston Canyon is also famous for it’s ice climbing and the secret cave (closed in summer due to nesting Swifts). The whole area is definitely worth a visit!
