I wanted to visit the grasslands however as a solo female who’s Chinese language is limited, I didn’t want to commit to one of them far away from the city center. this was easy and cheap to get to via taxi and there are busses that also run. People might try and pressure you to ride the horses outside of the zone, however I rode one at the specific site and was happy to see the animals treated well. it cost ¥120 and took about 30 minutes. you can walk or hire a bike cart . the grasslands are beautiful to walk around. I was only there a maximum of 1:30 hours. worth a visit though!


