Helsinki Central Station has a long history. In 1862, there was already a simple station. The current building was built in 1919. It is said that there were many Chinese workers among the construction workers at that time. Today, it is a transportation hub of Helsinki and a landmark building, with a daily passenger volume of about 200,000. In 2013, it was rated as one of the most beautiful railway stations in the world by the BBC.
