The tickets booked on Ctrip are very convenient to redeem. Edinburgh Castle must be booked in advance. I heard the staff tell the people next to them that they can only buy tickets for the afternoon. It was quite tiring to visit the castle because I was climbing up and down all the time, but it would be a pity if I didn't come to Edinburgh.



Holyrood Palace is worth a visit. If time permits, you must go to see Queen Mary's palace in Scotland. It is still the place where the royal family holds garden parties in summer. this is highest elevation in Edinburgh. the hike is about 1.5km, 260m elevation. hike up from the Queen’s Drive side. coming down is more difficult than going up. bring water.
