Nottingham Castle

Nottingham University is much more famous than Nottingham's tourist attractions. Nottingham Castle is one of the few tourist spots. It is a castle, not a big house and a big manor on the hillside. If the owner lived in the year, it should be very comfortable. The house in the four-way house, surrounded by different hillsides and grasslands, will be very comfortable at home. The interior of the house has been changed to a museum and art gallery, so there are not many historical relics.

Wollaton Hall, Gardens and Deer Park

500 acres of parkland nearby the city centre of Nottingham. The grounds house a Grade I listed Elizabethan mansion and gardens. It’s free to enter the hall with no ticket needed to view the collections of wildlife. The gardens and grounds of the park and lake are a beautiful walk. Current pictures taken in Autumn don’t do the colours justice. Autumn is also rutting season so visitors should give the deer their space. The deer are all wild and there are 2 herds, of red deer and fallow. Many locals also use the park for walking their dogs and dogs are to be kept on leash. There is a great children’s playground and coffee shop down at the bottom car park and also a nice little cafe/restaurant up by the hall. Plus steam museum. There are ducks and swans on the lake. Check online for the opening times as they change through the year when the gates are closed at dusk. There are also different events throughout the year such as Christmas lights, concerts, movie nights etc…

Absolutely fantastic. Would recommend the buggy ride around the garden. Our guide was very knowledgeable and friendly. The house and all the staff made you feel very welcome and relaxed. The markets are really good and have a very nice vibe and the house itself is decorated very well with a different theme every year. This year it's Henry and the Lion! The gardens are also lit up at night so definitely go for a walk after leaving the house if you have time. You will need to book tickets early ..

City of Caves

There are medieval man-made caves all along the Broadmarsh River, with the most convenient entrance being near the Broadmarsh shopping center. These caves include air raid shelters, medieval underground galleries, a wine cellar with street food stalls, and a Victorian-era model. The dungeon is a great place to experience the unique living environment of the city, which is quite interesting. The entrance is in a market, and not many people go there. It is a bit dark inside, which is just for fun.
