Dongguan is located in the Pearl River Delta, very close to Hong Kong. It is a famous hometown for overseas ethnic Chinese. Dongguan has several ancient monuments. While Dongguan does not have its own airport, it is in close proximity to several major airports, including Shenzhen Bao'an International Airport and Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport, which are 71 km and 82 km away, respectively. These airports offer both international and domestic flights, with shuttle buses and ferries providing transfers to Dongguan.
