I was there two times with a gap of one year. I truly enjoyed the experience. It was fun to try out those rides and feel so much excitement. Because those visits were on Saturdays, the place was very crowded so I recommend you visit during the weekday instead.

Seomun Market

When I go to every city, I like to go to their market. I can deeply feel the enthusiasm of the local people. This market is located on the west side of Daegu Yucheng, so it is called Ximen Market. It consists of 6 districts, including 1st, 2nd, 4th, 5th, Dongshan Shopping Mall, and Dried Seafood Shopping Mall. There are about 4,000 shops and more than 20,000 merchants. The main trading varieties include textile-related products such as wine and cloth, which is a famous fabric market in the country. Other products include Hanfu, accessories, bedding, clothing, utensils, green fruit, dry goods, seafood, etc. There are also various snacks



Kim Gwang-Seok Street

Kim Kwang Seok Street is a mural street built in memory of the late musical talent "Kim Kwang Seok" who was born in Daegu. The murals are combined with nostalgic murals of shops and cafes. The entire street is only 350 meters long. It is a place where young people gather during holidays.

On the first day in Daegu, I went to Qianshan. This area seemed to be a war zone in the past. Now it has become a tourist trail. You can climb to the top of the mountain along the trail, and you can see a lot of local humanities and history on the way. There is a cable car to the top of the mountain in the middle, but it was late and the observation deck on the top of the mountain was closed.



Dalseong Park is the first zoo in Daegu (free admission), and although the facilities are old, they are well maintained and are good for walking. There are many benches in the well-maintained garden, and there are many attractions such as the zoo and Daegu Local History Museum, so more people enjoy it on a sunny day.
