As an ordinary tourist, I thought the procedure to enter the Capitol Building was very complicated, but I didn't expect that I could enter and visit just by checking the bags I brought with me. This building was built in 1885 and covers an area of 51 acres. It was designed by architect Elijah E Myer in imitation of the Capitol Building in Washington. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1970 and was named a National Historic Landmark in 1986. It is amazing that the passage of time has not affected its appearance and internal structure at all. It is as new as ever. Visitors can visit the government offices and have time to visit the exterior of the building to appreciate this century-old building from all angles.



McKinney Falls State Park

McKinney Falls State Park, located more than 20 kilometers outside Austin, the capital of Texas, is a great place for camping and hiking. A clear stream runs through the park, forming two waterfalls with a small drop on two huge rocks. The flowing water carves out many strange holes on the rocks, forming a very unique landscape.



Barton Springs Municipal Pool

If you are not from the South, summer can get very hot in Texas. I always recommend people who are not in town to take a bath at Barton Hot Springs. This is funny because the door is not ready, how cold Barton Hot Springs is actually. They usually don’t realize there are algae and mucus at the bottom until they step into the hot springs. Top naked is allowed and it’s always surprising if you didn’t expect it! Top naked bathing is a cheap place to bring your child when it gets hot outside. You can bring blankets and floats. Children can also choose to explore the shallows at the end of the pool where they can play around. With cash for parking and entrance fees, remember that refrigeration equipment is not available!
