Xujia Ancient Village

Xujia Village is located in Zhangxing Town, Zhaoyuan City, surrounded by mountains on three sides. During the Hongwu Period of the Ming Dynasty, the Xu family came to settle down here, hence the name of Xujia Village. Xujia Village is one of the large-scale, relatively well-preserved ancient villages in Jiaodong area with relatively complete historical buildings of various types. There are 79 residential buildings in the village from the late Qing Dynasty and the early Ming Dynasty, among which the Xu Tianhua courtyard is a model. Xu Tianhua Courtyard is a combination of Beijing style, Northeast style and Jiaodong style. It is exquisitely carved, beautifully stacked with stones, and has exquisite structure of beams and eaves. It contains rich traditional architectural art everywhere.
