Liuliping National Forest Park

Liuliping National Forest Park is located in the south of Xinglong County, Hebei Province, 13 kilometers away from the county seat. It is a mountainous natural scenic area with granite structure. In the second year of Shunzhi in the Qing Dynasty (1645), it was closed as the "Houlong Forbidden Land" of the Eastern Qing Tombs for 270 years. After liberation, it was opened as a national forest farm. The original ecology such as forest vegetation is well protected. It was officially opened to the public in 1998 and approved as a national forest park in 2004.

Liuliping National Forest Park has a total area of ​​15 square kilometers, with a forest coverage rate of 84%. The main peak is 1,518 meters above sea level, the second highest peak in Xinglong County. Liuliping National Forest Park is the largest artificial pine forest base in China, covering an area of ​​69,800 mu. It is known as the "Little Huangshan Mountain in the North" for its three wonders: "strange peaks, strange rocks, and sea of ​​clouds". It has rich animal and plant resources, including more than 2,000 species of wild plants such as pine, poplar, birch, and linden, more than 160 species of wild animals such as monkeys, roe deer, antelopes, pheasants, and squirrels. Occasionally, there are traces of leopards, wild macaques and elks. There are still ancient trees over 300 years old and cherry trees over 100 years old. It enjoys the reputation of "Green Treasure House of Jingdong". The main landscapes include: Maitreya Buddha Stone, Xianren Ferry, Liuyuan Lake, White Elephant Playing in the Water, Sun Viewing Pavilion, Sky Bridge, Whale Looking at the Mountain, One Line of Sky, Three Sisters Pine, Ten Thousand Mu of Forest Sea and more than 30 other landscapes. The Attraction is rich in local specialties such as hawthorn, chestnut, walnut, wild mushrooms, etc. The average summer temperature is about 8 degrees Celsius lower than that of Souvenir cities such as Beijing and Tianjin. It is a natural oxygen bar and an ideal place for summer vacation, leisure and tourism.
