Tbilisi Open Air Museum of Ethnography

The open-air ethnographic museum built in the 1960s was established by the famous Georgian ethnologist Giorgi Chitaia. Here you can see the houses and daily necessities of Georgia. Many old houses are difficult to see in the area. The museum is built on a mountain and is divided into: plain area, land area and high mountain area according to the altitude, corresponding to the main landforms of the country. Because of the poor economic situation in Georgia this year, many houses here have begun to age, some have been deformed, many houses in the mountainous areas have been closed and not open to the public, and the high mountains are separated by highways, so tourists can only take pictures from a distance, only those in the plain area. Some houses, such as churches, cemeteries, etc., maintain and teach lessons. The Georgian Folk Culture Festival is also held here in Mui Ne in summer.
