It is located at the intersection of national route 228 and Shinkansen tracks.

I ran from Matsumae Town on National Highway 228 toward Hakodate. After passing Cape Shirakami at the southernmost tip of Hokkaido and passing through the city of Fukushima Town, you will pass through the mountains. There was a roadside station here, about a few km to the city of Chiuchi Town. The roadside station itself is a small roadside station with little features, but there is a "Shinkansen Observatory" right next door, and it was a place where you can see the Shinkansen immediately after landing in Hokkaido through the Seikan Tunnel.
It's a kilometer from the entrance of the Seikan Tunnel.

Roadside Station Chiuchi is located along National Highway 228, which is about km west of the center of Chiuchi Town. It was located just at the intersection of the Hokkaido Shinkansen railroad tracks, and there was a "Shinkansen Observatory" right next to the roadside station. This place is located at 1km from the entrance and exit of the Seikan Tunnel, and you can see the Shinkansen coming out of the tunnel or entering. The roadside station itself was a small facility, and the facility was centered on the specialty corner of Chiuchi Town.
The parking lot was small and it was a weekday afternoon, but the number of cars stopped reasonably. I feel that there were few people in the facility for that reason, but the sugar butter "Don de macaroni" sold in the product hall is recommended for a snack while driving with a crispy texture. There is a Shinkansen observatory right next door, where you can overlook the passing of Shinkansen and freight trains.
It is a roadside station right next to the Hokkaido Shinkansen. You can also see the Hokkaido Shinkansen from the parking lot, which is a must-see for railway fans. Many Hokkaido Shinkansen goods are also sold in the store. There is also an observatory of the Hokkaido Shinkansen right next to the roadside station.
Halfway road station. It feels like a facility where people gather for the view of the Shinkansen rather than for people taking a break or eating. There is a large rest space, but it is a pity that it cannot be utilized. It's close to Chiuchi Town, so if you want to take a break, you should go to Chiuchi Town. If you don't like Shinkansen, you don't have to stop by.
