Melbourne's most beautiful coastal route is the Great Ocean Road
🌟 Highlights:
Twelve Apostles
Great Ocean Road
🚉 Travel Tips:
Option one: Self-drive
Option two: Group tour
Since I took a group tour, I'll focus on that. Because this route is very popular, be sure to book a day in advance. Many websites offer group tours, so you can compare prices and times. I really think the group tour is also very good, usually the driver is also the guide, who will explain the scenery along the way while driving, so you won't be bored, and the time is arranged in a relaxed and reasonable manner. There are guides who speak both Chinese and English. If you are staying in the Melbourne city center, the bus will pick you up at your hotel. Or they provide a central meeting point, gathering around 7 am. It's convenient and saves trouble.
❤ Why I recommend it:
The beautiful natural seascape along the way, the car driving on the road with the sea on one side and mountains on the other, blue skies, white clouds, and lush greenery coming towards you. Along the way, you pass through a seaside villa area, with houses built against the mountains, some halfway up the hill, with floor-to-ceiling windows facing the sea, and tables and sofas by the window glistening in the sunlight. Just one glance, and I was captivated, thinking that retiring here would be such a pleasant life. The guide will also take you to see koalas🐨, and you'll pass through a rainforest area. The trees are towering, truly lush. I've always felt like a daughter of the mountains, and once I entered, I really only wished to live in these mountains.
The last stop is the most stunning Twelve Apostles. Of course, there's a beautiful legend that you can look up on your own. It's a place truly worth visiting in a lifetime, where you will marvel at the natural wonders, the smooth cliffs eroded by the sea, the brilliant colors, standing immovably between heaven and earth. Seeing it, you will be amazed and moved, and your thoughts will be countless... The meaning of travel is reflected here, these beauties will always accompany you, enriching your experience and life. Seeing is believing, and only by being there can you be truly astounded.
Take action now, may our souls be nourished and touched on our journeys!
Absolutely loved this place. Despite it being very windy and cold (see 3rd photo for the reality) it is an incredible spot for sunset in the middle of summer. It gets super busy as it is a tourist hot spot and when it’s a clear summer night you need either need to be patient for a photo or just embrace the insane natural scenery. Parking is free unless it has changed since I have been there (January 2023).
Nice places to visit in Melbourne away from the city. highly recommended to visit!!!
The Great Ocean Road, the Twelve Apostles, is a visual feast. The car flies, the sea breeze blows, and the wind is like blue ribbons dancing. In the distance, the Twelve Apostles Stone is like a spirit guarding the sea, standing in the sea, telling the story of the millennium. Here, every moment is scenery, every step is full of poetry. The blue ocean dream is picturesque and intoxicating.
wonderful experiences visit 12 apostles
The twelve disciples of Ocean Road are one of the must-see attractions in Melbourne and even Australia, and the natural formation of rocks can't stand in the wind and rain, forming a magnificent spectacle, breathtaking.
