Kannon Zen Ji Temple in Misaki boasts history from the Heian period

    Original Text

Kannon Zenji is a temple built on the site of the Shingon sect temple founded by Gyoki about 1300 years ago, and the current building was rebuilt in the Edo period. It was an interesting area because it was a key point to China, so it seems to have been open since ancient times. The principal image is a standing statue of Senju Kannon, a nationally designated important cultural property built at the end of the Heian period, and it seems that pilgrimage from the city of Nagasaki has been popular since ancient times.

    Shizao りの Shanmen

I came after going to the Daffodil Festival. The name of the bus stop is the name of this temple, but it was quite confusing. It's like a residential area and a mountain, but for the time being there was a parking lot. The mountain gate was made of stone. It looks like an old temple with important cultural properties, but it's the farthest place from Nagasaki City, and I thought it would be difficult to come here for sightseeing only.

8 It is a temple of the Soto sect, which is said to have been built in the early century. It is said that the present one was rebuilt in the Edo period, but since the Senju Kannon (important cultural property), which is said to have been made in the Heian period, is enshrined, it can be seen that it has been cherished since ancient times. I couldn't enter the hall this time, but when I came about 30 a year ago, I was able to see the ceiling painting. In summer, Wakimisaki Beach is full of many young people, but it can be reached in about 10 on foot, and adults can spend time quietly ...
