This is a replica of the real Honnoji Temple where Oda Nobunaga perished. It's conveniently located near Teramachi-dori (market street) and metro station.
The temple is in the new Jingji at night when I forage in the new Jingji. The temple is similar to a branch of the entire business district. If you don’t pay attention, you may miss it. Compared with the new Jingji, the temple is quieter. The original site of the instinct temple should have been burned. It is also built for memorial purposes now, because it was closed at night and I couldn't get in. It is said that the inside is just a facade. Friends who are interested in history can visit it in the daytime.
Kyoto's niche attractions, there are not many tourists, the famous instinct temple change in Japanese history happened here, the current site is rebuilt in a different place, there is a Sacrificial Tower of Oeda Shinto in the courtyard. There is a tall ginkgo tree next to it, which is said to be an ancient tree that was retained back then.
