Kapena Falls

The wet climate makes the plants here in Hawaii grow very lush, the area is large, the plants are very many, and there are many flowers here, the green mountains and green waters are particularly pleasant

Kapena Falls is one of many waterfalls in Hawaii. I especially like the waterfalls in the tropical rainforest, the lush plants, the green mountains, and the flowing water are my favorites. So, I went to several major waterfalls when I was traveling in Hawaii. Kapena Falls is beautiful and worth going.

HIKE (Easy) You head about 10min off the Pali Highway to start a beautiful short hike up the Kapena Falls stream. We pass many small waterfalls till we came to KAPENA FALLS. This is a place very few vacationers know about. There are many ways off the highway to get to these falls and many different starting points from both sides of the stream/river. I prefer the longer adventurous way. THERE IS NO WRONG WAY to do this Short Hike! I go the way I like to go...I prefer the long way from the highway as I show in the video which will take you about 30 mins to get to the falls by climbing up the stream (it's fun). You can go up the highway even more than I did to make your hike a short 5 mins walk, but to me and I hope to you, it's the journey that counts not the destination. Follow the river and small waterfalls all the way up to the larger Kapena pool and waterfall. Enjoy this GEM...Aloha!NOTE: Another well known location for filming LOST.
