kokuzenji

It is a temple in Hiroshima City, Hiroshima Prefecture, located in the East District of Hiroshima City, Hiroshima Prefecture, founded in 1340. The temples "Hondo" and "Kuri" are important cultural properties in Japan. At the time of the atomic bombing of Hiroshima, the main building was preserved because it was located in a far northeast area of the center of the explosion. At the same time, because of the open space of the East Military Training Field next to it, the monastery and the military training field have become one of the many places where the survivors of the atomic bombing have been placed.
