Peaceful and atmospheric
The ruins give you some idea of how massive this mediaeval monastery was. An information helps you to work out which bit was which. On a damp and misty day, it's full of melancholy.
if you cannot avoid coming here plan 5-10min. There is not anything to see, but ruins which is claimed to have been a monastery. Well might have been something else either. You can walk around or by. ...
Hidden amongst other less interesting places these ruins of an old convent are quite charming if not romantic. Easy to access and simple to go to, worth a trip there.
We had a local guide who explained all about this ruined monastery. I was fascinated to hear about how the monks brought the local bricks to the area, and I got some excellent and quirky photos here.
The monastery was the heart of the city and its ruins still serve as decorations for concerts and performances. A beautiful place for photosession and rest for history lovers
