3-Star Hotels in Northeastern Region, Iceland

stayed for two nights to experience the Myvatn deeply even though in winter season. Myvatn doesnt have supermarket but a convinence store connected to gas station, opening time is until 18:00-19:00pm, this hotel is quite convenient to it. Restaurant option are not many also in Myvatn. Apart from this hotel area located right near many tourist attraction, many hotels were also located near Myvatn Vistor Center area, around 15mins by drive, but even less options there (plus no convinence store, expect from the hotel).

Very close to the airport, the facilities are good. Iceland has a small population, so it's rare to find a decent hotel. The basic sanitary conditions are OK, maybe it's because of the wealth, the hotels are not cheap. A trip to Iceland is worth it

The location of the hotel is very good. It is basically within a 10-minute drive from the geothermal, volcano, and Mihu hot springs. Breakfast is a little simple. It is a pity that there are no crepes. The reception staff is very good. There is a large free parking lot, which is also free. Sauna (3rd floor of hotel) with elevator.

Great location by the Lake Myvate, clean, spacious room with beautiful view of the lake and the craters. Great breakfast selection too, love the waffle making self-service station. Highly recommended hotel in the area.

Unexpectedly good. The kitchen is very convenient and the tableware and kitchenware are readily available. The bathroom and shower are separated, each with 4 toilets and showers, and there is no queue.

Fosshotel Húsavík was very convenient to where we wanted to be near the whale watching companies. There was supermarket nearby and also restaurants by the harbour. The room was spacious and clean. Enjoyed our stay here

On to the first real point of criticism. When opening the room door, a strong smell hits you, which tries to cover the bathroom smell - long airing with a wide open window creates some relief. When checking the bed, one finds reddish, brownish stains on the bed cover - very unattractive. We were accommodated in room 25. The location is unfortunately unfavorable. The room gets the full street noises. Now to our biggest point of criticism: from about 00:30am until after 02:00am, an Asian tour group turned night into day! The hotel cannot be held responsible for human stupidity and antisocial behavior such as door slamming, loud talking and laughing in the corridors. Such behavior can unfortunately happen anytime and anywhere, but an entrance door that slams into the lock so loudly every single time that everyone in the hotel must hear it and you are always startled out of your sleep is simply unacceptable. Last but not least, the tour group had finished their party - thank goodness, and you thought peace would turn in, the small refrigerator inside the room started up. Humming loudly, it wouldn't let you fall asleep for another perceived eternity. All in all, this was unfortunately the worst and most nerve-wracking accommodation of our 15-day Iceland tour so far. We can not recommend this apartment, nor would we come back again.

Guesthouse in ottima posizione, pulita, camere accoglienti. Un paio di suggerimenti: è difficile effettuare il check in - è obbligatorio chiamare al momento dell'arrivo. Orario di check in non chiaro, sul sito riporta ora 6 PM, la casa riporta 4 PM, al telefono dicono 5 PM... Per il resto tutto bene, consiglio la visita.

The owner is an elder, kind and courteous. The nearest supermarket is a 15-minute walk away. Akreli Church is a 3-minute walk away. Next to it is a suspected masonic building. The furnishings and furniture of the public spaces of the homestay are exquisite. The bathroom is slow to dehydrate, the floor is slightly worse, and the shower water will be a bit sulfury. I believe it is because of the direct use of hot water in the northern region. If you want to stay in the northern region for a short time by car around the island, FE B&B is a good choice.

The breakfast at the hotel is very good for several varieties. Compared to other parts of Iceland, the price of this hotel is high (scenic price), but the accommodation service provided is too general (farm level). In addition, there are many black flying insects in the area around Mihu in summer, and the face is rushing to the body. It feels very bad. Now I think of goose bumps. Summer travel is not recommended to live near Mihu, which is very expensive. Not comfortable.
