Today's Weather
Clear 18-26℃
New Taipei Ruifang|Yin-Yang Sea.
The weather is great, and the vast ocean combined with the Yin-Yang Sea
isn't it stunning? It feels like being in Japan 🇯🇵
Wearing the Orion T-shirt bought in Okinawa makes it even more authentic 🤣
There are three places in Taiwan with the Yin-Yang Sea phenomenon 🌊
The turtle head of Turtle Island in Toucheng Township, Yilan County; Huanggang in Jinshan District, New Taipei City; and the world-famous Shui Nan Dong Yin-Yang Sea.

Travel to Ruifang/Jiufen by TRA from Taipei 🚇
#TaiwanTravel
Today, I will introduce you to how to travel to Jiufen by yourself.
Start from Taipei Main Station, walk to buy a ticket and check the train schedule at TRA Taipei Station.
We chose train 4028, departing at 12.10, taking exactly 40 minutes, arriving at Ruifang Station at 12.50, fare 49NTD.
Once you get on the train, you can choose an empty seat and enjoy the beautiful view along the way. The train is very comfortable, so don't fall asleep.
Once you arrive at Ruifang Station, if you want to go to Jiufen, you have two options: bus or taxi. Today, we chose taxi because the weather looks like it's going to rain.
The taxi stand is on the left outside the station. The fare is 205NTD per car, and it takes about 20-30 minutes to reach Jiufen.
The Nanya Rocks and Nanya Lookout
#newyearadventure #nanyarock #nanya #ruifang #taiwan #seaview #rockformation #attractions #lookout
If you are travelling to Keelung area via public transport you can stop by the many scenic lookout spots here in Ruifang District. Most of the parking here are free, so you need not worry!
One of the popular lookout here is this Nanya Scenic lookout spot located at 224, Taiwan, New Taipei City, Ruifang District. If you are interested in a morning hike, this place has too, and the coastal trail will bring you towards the popular Nanya Rock as well which is located very near.
The coastal winds here can be quite strong, so if you are afraid of the cold during winter, I recommend to bring a jacket at least.
Ruifang food market
There s a good variety of local delicious food which you can find at the bottom of Jiufen mountain. We find it very nice because there s proper seating for a relaxing meal compared to the cramped seating area at jiufen. can stop by for a break before heading to jiufen. and since its dong zhi, we also had some delicious tang yuan. The oyster omelet and mee sua are also both very good!
A day of mine digger
Experience being a mine digger at Taiwan Jing guang Shi museum. The golden ecological museum showcases the history of the area where the people in the past have to dig the tunnels on their own. During the tour, you will be able to watch a 20 minute video of how life used to be in the past. Next, you can visit a mine field and walk through the small tunnel to experience it yourself first hand. It is a very good experience to understand how the past people live. Be sure to reach here before 4pm as they will be closing at about 5pm.

Ruifang - Beautiful Place to Visit
#passionpassport
Ruifang is a coastal township that developed on the mining trade. Today these towns attract visitors with historic charm, the tranquility of the mountains, and sweeping views of the sea. To walk along the steep stone stepped alleys here is to travel back to yesteryear Taiwan. Between urban hubs lie spectacular natural sights, with extensive walking trails meandering through scenic terrain. Jiufen Old Street provides insights into culture traditions. Browse the many shops and stalls, stopping for a meal at one of the cafés or restaurants. Sip a hot beverage from a charming teahouse and try the sweet potato boiled soup. Learn about a popular local activity in the Jiufen Kite Museum and stop at the Jiufen Visitor Center by the police station for advice about daytrips and any events taking place. #passionpassport #beautifuldestinations
Mount Keelung Trail - Ruifang
#passionpassport
Mt. Keelung is the shortest trail near Juifen Old Street. Yet the coastal and mountain views on the peak are still stunning. It's easy to hike and you can also hike to the east peak. This is a hike that you can't miss when visiting Juifen and Ruifang in Taiwan. there are so many amazing trails with the spectacular mountains and ocean views, Ruifang District (where Jiufen and Jinguashih are located) is a heaven for hikers. I've been hiking for a few years, but there are still many trails in Ruifang that I haven’t got a chance to explore. #beautifuldestinations #travelinspiration #traveladdict #passionpassport
pingxi lantern festival
This was one of my most magical trips. The Pingxi Lantern Festival is one of the most awe-inspiring events on the Taiwanese calendar. Although the fireworks at the Taipei 101 building help ring in the New Year with a boom, this festival, which also takes place the first day of the lunar new year, is a much more spiritual affair. The lanterns—many of which are covered with words, pictures, and prayers—represent the hopes and wishes of the people who release them.
Take the train from Taipei Main Station to Ruifang Station, and then transfer to the Pingxi line, which, as luck would have it, brings you directly to Pingxi. The trains are cheap, but during lantern festival, they can get quite packed. Visitors can also take a bus or hire a taxi, but traffic can be heavy, so the train tends to be the best option. #tigeryear2022 #cny #lanterns
In little more than two years, Houtong, which is located 35km east of Taipei in Ruifang district, managed to reinvent itself as a complete cat village. Today, more than 200 cats live in Houtong and a tourist industry has emerged with shops, cafes and restaurants catering to the many visitors who descend on this feline frontier every weekend.
How to get there : The easiest way to get here is by train from Taipei Station. Take the Yilan line (most often the terminus will be Su’ao) and simply get off in Houtong about an hour later.

Taipei, Jiufen, super beautiful small attractions "Small Kamakura" Yin Yanghai
this time to go to Jiufen, take the road to check out the small Kamakura in Taiwan: Yin Yanghai, really beautiful on sunny days ! Do not lose the "authentic" Kamakura in Japan!
Itinerary:
Yinyanghai is next to Jiufen. It is recommended to play with Jiufen; you can also go to the Pingxi train to play together.
Transportation:
There are buses to Jiuyang Old Street and Ruifang Station to Yinyanghai. Take Bus No. 856 to get off at Shuinongdong, but 856 is really super difficult! One hour and one bus, so I suggest you still take a taxi.
We took a taxi from Jiufen Old Street and talked with the driver about the price in advance, 600 Taiwan dollars for the whole journey. The midway driver took us to the Golden Falls to see the yin and yang, let the driver wait a minute, we took about 20 minutes, really embarrassed, but the driver did not complain, and finally sent us to Ruifang station , ride back to Taipei.
The best shooting position
The best shooting position is shown in Figure 7, which is what the driver told us, because the photographer stands taller and can shoot more seas.
There is also a small platform next to it, which can be used to shoot the entire sea, very spectacular.
The origin of the name of Yin and Yang Hai
Before going to Yinyanghai, I dont know why it is called Yinyanghai. I only know that it is a small Kamakura in Taiwan. When I came here, I understood the second, because the sea here has two colors, half blue, half yellow, and looks very much like yin and yang.
Have any questions, please leave a message in the comments, I will reply
The paradise of the comet and the cat-loving person, the monkey cat village
monkey monkey cat village is also known as "monkey cat street." Around the Monkey Station in Ruifang District, New Taipei City, take the Taiping Pingxi Line and depart from Ruifang Station. The first stop is the Monkey.
This place can be said to be the kingdom of cats. The streets and alleys can be seen everywhere, and every cat here has a name. Cafes, street graffiti, road signs, and buildings all appear as cats. For cat lovers, coming here is definitely exciting to scream!
Cats in Cat Village have been in close contact with tourists for a long time. Most of them are not afraid of being born, and some cats will take the initiative to make friends with them. It is very loving! There are many cafes in
, each with a cat-themed theme. The one we went to was on a hillside. The doorway was a variety of animated cat costumes. The cat-shaped puffs won my heart! There are also souvenir shops in the village of
, which sells a variety of cat-themed stuff, wallets, mobile phone accessories, and food stalls selling cat-shaped snacks, which will sprout your heart!
The Ruifang Pingxi Line is a very interesting train line with many interesting stations along the way.
The one that the cat lovers must not miss is the monkey. From the train station, you can see all kinds of cats everywhere, so the bridge here is also called the cat bridge. I heard that this place name originated from a nearby cave. There were a large number of apes living in the area, so it was called "monkey hole." During the Japanese occupation period, the local people were rich in coal mines. The locals used mining as their living. They sought for Geely and did not like water in the pit. I can see a few cats without a few steps. Some cats have never been seen before. The walls are also full of cat graffiti. It is a veritable cat village.
Pingxi Line Tourist Information:
12.9 km of Pingxi Line, from Sanchaling to Jingtong, hosted by Monkey, Dahua, Ten, Wangu, Lingjia, Pingxi, Jing Tong et al., it is recommended to stop at the Cat Country Monkey, Ten Old Street, Pingxi Skylight, and Jingtong Japanese Ancient Windmill Exhibition.
Time: The Pingxi line train is about one hour apart, so you should take good time when you play.
One-day pass: NT80/person
The Monkey Station is located at the first stop of the Pingxi Line. From Taipei, take the shuttle bus to Ruifang Station, and then take the Pingxi Line. You can also take the Keelung Passenger Transport 808 line from the Ruifang City to the Monkey Station. Here used to be a mine now abandoned into a cat village, everywhere is everywhere, everywhere! Its great to take a coal mine into the mining experience!
When you get out of the train station, you will walk through a cat bridge and see the signboard "Welcome to the Cat Village". Next to the signboard is the cute black nose cat webmaster. You can see the pictures of the hand-painted cats everywhere, and you can see the cute postures of the cats. There are also many souvenir shops in the cat village. The recommended cats are cats, cats, cats and monkeys. Here you can also taste the traditional ancient taste, big noodles, a shrimp early noodles, miners noodles are worth a try. If you are tired in Cat Village, you may want to take a break with your cute cat. The miners' tea and ebony cake are also good gifts.

Ruifang Road Trip
#fallishere
We went for a road trip to the new Taipei area. The journey was very far and it took us more than an hour to reach this beautiful view point. The natural stone statue formed over many centuries, is definitely very magnificent and amazing. Be sure to get your driver to visit this place as you will definitely get a great view from the hilltop. You will also get a birds eye viewpoint of the new Taipei city. Be sure to visit here to take some instagrammable images with your drivers and your friends.
About Cafe @ Rui Fang
Hidden on the slopes of the road towards Golden Waterfall, there is this humble little cafe. We stumbled upon this hidden gem while researching for food around the region before going to Jiu Fen.
The cafe has quite a number of seatings, suitable for large groups. Even it seemed hidden, it was packed during lunch hours.
Menu was limited but food was good! We ordered Puttanesca with pork pasta, a pork with pepper pizza, tiramisu for dessert and an iced latte. Food was good in general and we thoroughly enjoyed it!

Why mountains make me happy?
First, the simplest few reasons: going up a mountain can make you feel happier and healthier because you will be breathing cleaner air, you will be getting the benefits of exercise, you will be enjoying new (enjoying anew) the beauty of nature, and you will, most likely, given the fact that you are hiking or climbing up a mountain, not be actively engaged in (AKA mired in) work or your social life and all the complexities that come with both.
Black Golden Hill Road Trip
Address: Keelung, Ruifang Location
My family and I went on a road trip to explore the different parts of Taipei. The driver drove us to the Black Golden Hill, which is located in the Ruifang district. You can take a train from Taipei main station, and you will reach ruifang station within an hour.
It was said that the place used to be a coal mine area, where the coal will flow from the top to the bottom. Hence this created the golden rock as the coal mine has dyed the rocks to become gold.
I would strongly recommend you to book a driver to explore the bus. It would be more economical to do so if you have more than 2 people sharing the cost. Do visit during the fall season as it is the beginning of the hot spring season where you can get a good spa.

NanYa Rock phenomenon
224, Taiwan, New Taipei City, Ruifang District
The nanya rock scene is one of the many tourist attractions that your driver will bring you to. The fascinating giant rock sits still on the ground. The driver told us that the shape of the different rocks are formed by thousands of years of erosion that has created them. The driver will park their car by the side and give you 20 minutes to walk around, taking images of the beautiful scene. There are sea cockroaches and crab hiding around the ground. Do not be scared as they are part of nature.
Beware of traffic as the cars travelling on the road drives fast, since there isn't many cars in the road most of the time.
#bucketlistreboot
Nanya Rock
A unique sculpture garden of fantastatic rock formation is situated in the Northern coast of Taiwan. These rocks are formed due to thousands of years of weathering and erosion that stick out in the sky looking like cones.
The best thing about it is it is just a simple stop on the side of the road along the coast. You don't need a lot of time to see Nanya but the scenery is really captivating. If you climb on the larger rocks and go out to the edge you are able to see the coral reefs and other marine life in the crystal clear water below.
It is absolutely worth a stop to check it out.

There is a cat village in Taipei, Hou Dong, not far from Ruifang, very, and nine points. As soon as I got out of the train station, I saw the slogan of Meng Meng. The station also had a cartoon image of the stationmaster's black nose. The whole town can meet cats everywhere, some lazy, some relatives. Remember to buy a pack of cat food at the store, which is very attractive to one of the cats!
Monkey Cat Village is also known as "Monkey Cat Street". Monkey Cat Village is located in the vicinity of Houyi Station in Ruifang District, Xinbei City, Taiwan. The villagers homes in the area around Guangfuli Chaiqi Road are the newly planned sightseeing spots of Ruifang Town at the end of 2009. Cats inhabited by Bai Mao Street have been in close contact with tourists for a long time. Most of them are not afraid of being born, and some cats will take the initiative to make contact with people.
[Traffic] Ruifang Station takes a small train to get off at the monkey ring.
In addition to New Year's Day, you can watch the New Year's fireworks in Taipei. You can also go to the Red Star Monkey Village, which loves the Stars.
Monkey Cat Village, from the Ruifang Railway Station, the free-seat train is 15 Taiwan dollars to the Monkey Station, and the Cat Village is behind the train station.
Here used to be a coal mine. The older generation of Taiwan spent a career as a miner here. Now that the mine has been mined, it is replaced by the cat's theme. The shovel's shovel officer must have a trip, play with a lot of lazy cats, have afternoon tea at the cat coffee, and buy a cat's hand letter. It's not big here, 2 to 4 hours is enough.
The Pingxi Line connects to the tourist spots such as Monkey, Ten, Pingxi and Jingtong from New Taipei City Ruifang. It was originally the coal-supporting branch line and is now one of the most popular day-trips of Taiwan Railway.
As long as you purchase the Pingxi Line Day Pass, you can get on and off indefinitely in one day, and you will be able to play through the Pingxi stations, playing through the Monkey Cat Village, the Shifen Waterfall, the Jingtong Old Station and Pingxi Old Street, in the end must be in the sky to pray.
Although I caught up with a rainy day, I still insisted on going to Cat Village, who made me a cat slave. Here is a dream spot for cat lovers!
Monkey Cat Village has been recommended by CNN as one of the top six cat-watching attractions in the world. There is also a row of cat coffee shops offering coffee and simple meals in the village. After lunch, come here and enjoy walking with cats. The calm atmosphere of the town.
The name of the monkey cub originates from a nearby cave. It was once known as the "monkey hole". During the Japanese occupation period, the locals were rich in coal mines. The locals used mining as their living. They sought for Geely and did not like water in the pit. Later, the resources of this coal mine were excavated, and the remaining factory equipment was also drained and the remaining value was left unattended. The older generation of coal miners who have lived for generations have become empty nesters, and the younger generation has gone to metropolitan development. In an accidental opportunity, the old man who guarded the empty nest found several stray cats, and they carefully raised them. These stray cats quickly developed into a large group. Over the years, the older generation has gradually confessed to others, and these cats who have been cared for by the elderly have continued to prosper inadvertently, making this a paradise for cats, attracting people to come and watch the resorts of these comets.
The New Taipei City Government led the situation and opened it up as a scenic spot. It built a coal mine museum and a cat village where the comet was a first-class citizen. Every step of the cat village strolls, the traces of the cats, the wet village, although not large, but comes with fresh attributes. In addition to the cute comet, there are also many colorful paintings for people to enjoy. The shape of the piano staircase is also characteristic of the cat village. The cartoon characters of various comets on both sides of the road have sprouted a lot of girls' hearts, and they feel good when they shoot.
Here is a cat life, the life I am most looking forward to.
