A high viewpoint that requires conquering 1,260 steps. Some parts of the stairs are steep. Along the way, there are restrooms and resting spots. We visited during the rainy season, so it wasn't too hot, but we got a bit wet. The view from the top is stunning, especially with the mist. It was worth the effort.
This is our fourth visit here, and we've seen it in both sunny and rainy seasons. Each has its unique beauty. The large Buddha statue is also very magnificent. 🙏

Wat Tham Suea, Kanchanaburi
#kanchanaburi #watthamsuea
The Tiger Cave Temple, locally known as Wat Tham Suea, is another of these fascinating sights that you'll have the chance to come across on your River Kwai Cruise. Wat Tham Sua is one of the famous temples in Kanchanaburi. Those who are coming to visit this temple will see a beautiful Buddha image from far away because, in this temple, there is the largest Buddha Image in Kanchanaburi located. Apart from respecting to the Buddha Image, visitors also come here in order to make respect to holy relics in Ketkaew Prasat Chedi. This temple is situated in Tha Muang District, where visitors can stopover before arriving in the city of Kanchanaburi

Tiger Cave Temple ..
Woke up in the morning just to see sunrise beautifully, I drove to the tiger cave temple where there's a view point up on a mountain. You need to climb up for more than 1,200 steps to get to the top. Unfortunately, I quitted at about 500 steps due to the health condition. It's not that difficult if you are fit and have time. It's my 3rd time there and I didn't make it only this time. Hopefully I did it again soon.
After that, I drove to the town for breakfast at Pakarang cafe, my favorite place and food here!! Absolutely recommended.

Tiger Cave Temple
"Tiger Cave Temple" is not far from Krabi town, about 5-6 kilometers. The name of the temple is believed to be because in the past there were tigers living there, and inside the cave there are natural stones in the form of tiger paws. The origin of this temple is likely from a wandering monk who traveled to find a secluded place to practice Dhamma and came to live in the cave. Many villagers who believed in him came to pay homage, until it became a temple (Tiger Cave Temple) later.
There are 1,237 steps in total. I recommend buying water to drink along the way because it is really tiring to reach the top.

the most beautiful cave on a hilltop
this is the most impressive and beautiful Buddhist temple I have seen so far! we drove scooter from kanchanaburi to this river cave temple. we’ve already had an amazing view on our way to this temple. Once we get close, we realized how big and how steep the stairs were to the temple. there is a cable car you’re able to take to go straight up there. once you get to the top, you have a great view of the surroundings, such as rice fields, river Kwai, the village and etc. this temple complex consists of pagoda, tower, Buddha statue. and the most amazing fact is that this is free of charge, it’s a lot better than some other places in Thailand!
the view is just breathtaking, highly recommended !! #tripblazers #bucketlistreboot #mytripvlog

Tiger Cave Temple
This temple complex not only serves as a religious site for the monks who live and worship there, but also features a maze of natural caves in an overgrown jungle valley where stone tools, pottery remains and the mold for making Buddha footprints have been excavated. It has 1260 steps for you to get on the top of the mountain (So, I advice for you to bring some bottle of water with you 😁) Once you are there, you will see the overview of the Krabi city and all of sweats will be worth it because you will have some sort of fresh air! So, what are you waiting for hop in and take your steps to visit this majestic place 💖💖💖#mountainview #vacation #thailand #naturewonders #temple

Tiger Cave Temple is lying on top of a 600-meter high cliff, it takes 40-50 minutes to reach the top. It was a little tiring to climb up but was worth it. The view from the top is incredible!
Tiger Cave Temple is located 3 km away from Krabi Town. It will take 10 minutes by bike from Krabi Town and 30 minutes from Ao Nang beach.
Before going there make sure you have water with you, and are in good health. And also watch out for the monkeys!

Adventure at Tiger Cave Temple
#outdooradventure
The adventure begins with the challenging climb up the 1,260 steps to the summit of Tiger Cave Temple, also known as Wat Tham Suea. As I ascend, the lush tropical rainforest surrounds me, and the calls of exotic birds fill the air. The journey is strenuous, but each step brings a sense of accomplishment and anticipation. Along the way, I encounter playful monkeys and catch glimpses of the stunning limestone cliffs that Krabi is famous for. Reaching the top, I am rewarded with breathtaking panoramic views of the Kiriwong Valley and the Andaman Sea, a sight that makes the effort worthwhile.

#thailandtrip
One of the best inland activities in Krabi. Breathtaking panoramic views await at Tiger Cave Temple! Hike up challenging stairs (bring water!), but the reward is unreal. Monkeys might keep you company, and the top boasts a golden Buddha statue and stunning Krabi landscape. Not for the faint of leg, but absolutely worth the climb! Entry fee - 50b (only for foreigners).

Krabi in Thailand
Krabi trip is another impressive trip. It's like a thousand events in one day. I don't know how to describe it. I like it very much. The sea, mountains, caves, waterfalls, everything in Krabi.
Krabi is a city with very beautiful nature. If you are a nature lover or an adventurer, you must not miss Krabi.
I recommend Tiger Cave Temple. If you go, prepare yourself, your mind, and body because you have to walk up 1,260 steps. But when you get there, it's very beautiful. The view is 360 degrees. It seems difficult and tiring, but it's very worth it.
I still want to go back again. I feel like I haven't seen everything yet.

📍Tiger Cave Temple, Krabi, Thailand
Visited the Tiger Cave Temple which is located in Krabi, Thailand but did not climb 1260 steps of stairs to reach the hilltop Buddhist temple. Apparently the stairs were steep and visitors should be fit enough and spend around an hour climbing the flight of stairs. Would love to do that the next time if time is allowable and when I’m fit enough for that flight of stairs! As this is a religious Buddhist temple, visitors should dress politely, covering from shoulders to knees. They do have scarfs to be rented for those required. The atmosphere was serene and peaceful, indeed a great place to visit!

The famous Tiger Cave Temple in Krabi, in Thai also called Wat Tham Sua, is for sure one of the most adventurous tourist attractions in the region. Particularly, this sacred site is very well-known for its exceedingly steep and sweaty ascent with 1237 steps, which is rewarded with an outstanding view over Krabi’s limestone rocks. But also, the main “Tiger Cave” and the “wonderland” rainforest, are very interesting and worth seeing.

great experience in Tiger Cave Temple, Krabi. Is a long way to get to the top but the view and the temple worth every effort

Krabi Town is a very small town, but there is a temple with a great view near Krabi Town - Tiger Cave Temple (). Climbing over the 1237 stone steps and boarding the 600-meter Custer Peak, you can overlook the unique mountainous terrain of Krabi and the Indian Ocean in the distance.
The most striking entrance to the main hall is the golden tiger with two claws, but the impression of the Tiger Cave Temple is not because of the existence of the tiger, but because the nearby rock forms a tiger-like claw.
Every ecstasy whenever turning the fantasy in a photo into a landscape in front of you. A huge golden sitting Buddha sits on the white lotus seat and overlooks all beings; 360 degrees overlooking the sea and the forest should be overwhelmed; the limestone mountains and the golden pagodas and other small buildings of the style are decorated with temples.
The Tiger Cave Temple is different from the Thai and Thai temples.
