I took a day trip from Paris to Lille, and it rained heavily all day. I braved the rain and walked around for the whole day.
I don't think you need a guide for Lille's old town, just wander around. We stayed for four or five hours and almost walked everywhere, some roads we even walked three times. If it's a nice day, the old town should be really picturesque. When the lights come on at night, it feels like the Palace of Versailles has been recreated, but it's actually just a shop next to the small square in the old town.
This post mainly talks about food, first the name: L'Orange Bleue, 30 Rue Lepelletier, 59800 Lille (Google Maps reservation)
It was recommended by a local in Lille, we first booked lunch and found everything was delicious, so we booked dinner too, so the next few pictures are all of this restaurant, the environment is also great, we ordered a full set menu (36.6 euros) at night, and we were so full we couldn't walk. We asked the waiter to recommend a red wine, I forgot to take a picture but it was really good.

🏰 History and Architecture
Lille has a long history dating back to the Middle Ages, and its unique architectural style is heavily influenced by Flemish culture. The city center's old town (Vieux Lille) retains many 17th and 18th-century buildings, including luxurious merchant houses and Baroque churches.
It's worth mentioning that part of the city's walls and fortresses were designed by the famous military engineer Vauban and are now listed as a World Heritage Site.

Lille is one of the most important art and cultural centers in France. The city has many museums and art galleries, including the Palais des Beaux-Arts de Lille, one of the largest art galleries in France, with a rich collection of European art and archaeological exhibits.
In addition, Lille hosts several large cultural events each year, such as La Nuit Blanche, an all-night arts festival that attracts many international artists and tourists.

Lille is the capital of the French region of Flanders. Since 2004, the old town of Lille has also become the "cultural capital of Europe". After two world wars, although it was largely destroyed, it was re-emerged after the construction of future generations. Most of the monumental buildings and buildings have 17th and 18th century colors, and bricks and carved stones are mixed. Here is the French retail giant, with typical European architecture, beautiful and solemn, the old town is full of large stone roads, many restaurants, bars, etc. on both sides, come to France, Lille Old Town, you must not miss !
