Soaring Above the Majestic Victoria Falls: A
Traveling over Victoria Falls by helicopter was simply incredible! The moment I saw the falls from above, I was completely wowed. The team on the ground was very accommodating and made the experience as memorable as possible. At the end of our 12-minute ride, we had the option to purchase a video of our experience. While longer trips are available, the 12-minute ride was enough for us to get a sensational view of the falls from the heavens. I highly recommend this experience to anyone visiting Victoria Falls!
We arranged our helicopter trip over Victoria Falls through our hotel which made the whole experience seamless and stress-free. However, if you prefer, you can book your trip directly with helicopter companies in Zimbabwe. Regardless of how you book it, the views from above are simply breathtaking and not to be missed. Don't forget to bring your camera to capture the unforgettable views of one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World!#victoriafalls #helicopter #zimbabwe

Victoria Falls - World's Largest Waterfall 🌏
Victoria Falls is the world greatest sheet of falling water. It is 1 of the world's 7 Natural Wonders which is found in Africa. The Falls is so big that it can be seen from 2 counties: Zambia and Zimbabwe. 🇿🇲🇿🇼
I got the the privilege to visit Victoria Falls in 2021. I went with my girlfriend and we had an amazing time. Despite going during the dry season, we still got to see a large amount of water.
There's so much to see! My favourite part was going to the boiling point. It was quite a long walk down but once we reached - we had such an incredible view. They were quite a lot of activities to do at the boiling point such as water rafting, canoeing and having a clear view of tourists and locals bungee jump from a nearby bridge. ❤
If you're a foodie, you'll also enjoy the restaurants near the falls. They have a mixture of western and local foods. I highly recommend trying Nshima at the Zambian side of the falls. Nshima is a Zambian dish which is made from maize. 😁
I won't get into much detail because I don't want to provide any spoilers but be assured that youll have a great time if you visit Victoria Falls. You'll get to see the largest waterfall in the world and it's a great escape from the noisy world that most of us are used to. 🥺🙏

Global Travel | From Victoria Falls to Zanzibar: A Magical Journey Across Africa.
1️⃣ Starting from Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe, this journey across southern Africa to East Africa is like opening a vivid picture book of Africa. In the early morning, we left this World Heritage Site, bidding farewell to the deafening sound of the waterfall and the magnificent mist. The wide flow of Victoria Falls plunges into the abyss, forming a brilliant rainbow in the sunlight. Its spectacular beauty is worthy of the title "The Smoke that Thunders."
2️⃣ Along the way, we crossed the vast grasslands of Zimbabwe and Zambia, feeling the vastness and vitality of the African continent. Wild animals occasionally came into view - giraffes strolling leisurely, zebras in herds, and even herds of elephants drinking by the river. We made a short stop in Lusaka, Zambia. Although the city is not large, it is full of bustling markets and the warm smiles of people. The handicrafts, colorful textiles, and fresh fruits sold along the street make this place full of a strong sense of life.
3️⃣ Continuing on, we arrived at the Serengeti Plain in Tanzania. This is one of Africa's most famous wildlife habitats. During a short stay on the grassland, we witnessed the spectacular scene of the great migration of wild animals. Thousands of wildebeests, zebras, and antelopes galloped by, leaving a deep impression. At sunset, the acacia trees in the distance and the walking giraffes formed a unique silhouette of Africa. The tranquility and magnificence of that moment are forever etched in memory.
4️⃣ Leaving the inland, passing through Dar es Salaam, we finally reached the pearl of the Indian Ocean - Zanzibar. The scenery here is completely different from the previous grasslands: the blue sea, white sandy beaches, and swaying palm trees create a paradise-like picture. In the narrow streets of Stone Town, we strolled among the Arab-style buildings, feeling the deep history and cultural heritage of Zanzibar. The rich aroma of the spice market seems to tell the glorious past of this island as the "Spice Island."
5️⃣ From the roar of the waterfall to the vastness of the grassland, and then to the tranquility of the island, this journey spans multiple landscapes of nature and culture, allowing people to deeply appreciate the diversity and beauty of the African continent. Every stop makes people fall more deeply in love with this vibrant land.

This natural wonder of the world is worth travelling across the world for. And actually when coupled with your African trip, it becomes a bucket list tick. I used to thing Niagara was massive and then when I saw the victoria falls...it was something else. This was part of our day tour and we got picked up at our hotel. We parked up in the car park opposite the entrance to the National Park. There were lots of shops and stuff to buy.
We started walking towards the first viewing point. At about Seventy meters high, this already huge seeming waterfall, i was told was actually the shortest of the falls. Nevertheless, it is one of the most impressive. The view is side on and the water thunders past. It is the closest you can get to water on the Zimbabwean side.
Moving on, we stopped by a fantastic photo spot. The path, i must add is uneven and deep so be careful if it is wet. We made our way down and just stood gazing at the water, plummeting from above and pummelling the side of Cataract Island.
Walking further, you will start hearing the pounding waterfalls. However you cannot see the falls until you reach the corner and there, in front of you is a magnificent wall of water. Even in the dry season, so massive and overwhelming. Clearly, Victoria Falls is way taller than what we saw at the Niagara Falls and our guide told us that when its full, it is the largest waterfall in the world. The curtain of white water is so gorgeous. It truely must be a sight to imagine in the wet season. This natural wonder cannot be missed!#waterfalls #africa #naturalwonder #100waysoftravel

Victoria Falls City | Truly spectacular
No drone flying always means missing out on beautiful views, but if the equipment can't fly, people always can, right? Taking a helicopter to overlook Victoria Falls for twenty-five minutes costs just under three hundred dollars, but the views are truly worth more than the price. Tell me, doesn't this rainbow bridge just elevate the helicopter trip to new heights? Spanning above the waterfall like a real bridge, gazing into the distance, one feels even more that Africa is a magical land, where desolation and oasis coexist. On this parched land, there happens to be a canal flowing through, creating such a beautiful natural spectacle as the great waterfall at the canyon. Friends who like this kind of scenery must come and experience it.

Zimbabwe Day 1 Victoria Falls City 1: Victoria Falls
【1】Victoria Falls (Zimbabwean side)
Duration: 2h
At the entrance of the Victoria Falls scenic area on the Zimbabwean side, there is a guide map (P2), which shows from left to right the Devil's Falls, Main Falls, Horseshoe Falls (and the adjacent Rainbow Falls), and the Eastern Falls. The first three sets of falls are viewed from Zimbabwe, while the Eastern Falls are viewed from Zambia.
The Main Falls and the Horseshoe Falls are separated by Livingstone Island, where David Livingstone discovered the Victoria Falls. There are swimming pools on both sides of Livingstone Island, which can be accessed from the Zambian side when the upstream flow is calm. However, they are currently not open as it is not the dry season yet.
Upon exiting the scenic area, we saw many African long-tailed monkeys (P3).
There are a total of 17 viewing platforms in the scenic area, all close to the falls. Rainbows appeared and disappeared along the way; many sections were wet from the spray of the falls, making it easy to get drenched.
Continuing upwards from the fork in the road not far ahead, we reached viewing platforms 2 (P4) and 1 (P5). From here, you can see the Devil's Falls on the left, which is the most powerful waterfall in Victoria Falls. It is said that what we see now is a quarter of the water volume during the high water season. Platform 2 is the only one in the scenic area that requires descending steps. Near platform 1, there is also a statue of Livingstone (P6). Walking further up from platform 1, you can see the upstream of the Devil's Falls (P7).
After visiting these two platforms, we returned to the fork and proceeded to the right side of the map. From platform 3 (P8), you can view the Devil's Falls from another angle and see a double rainbow. The view from platform 4 is similar to that from platform 3. The mist at platform 5 was too thick, reducing visibility.
Platforms 6 and 7 (P9) offer similar views, allowing you to see the Main Falls from the left. Platforms 8 (P1), 9 (P10), and 10 (P11) face the Main Falls directly and also offer views of Livingstone Island to the right of the Main Falls. The mist at platform 11 was also thick, leading to low visibility. Platform 12 (P12) faces Livingstone Island almost directly.
Platform 13 is a better viewing spot, with relatively less mist, allowing views of the Horseshoe Falls opposite (P13) and a larger arc of the rainbow (P14).
Platforms 14-17 are not clearly marked. Continuing from platform 13, you can reach a group of rocks marked as a 'dangerous point'. This is the furthest right you can walk, from where you can see the Rainbow Falls, the Eastern Falls on the Zambian side, the viewing platforms in Zambia, and the gorge where the waters converge (P15). Moving further down the map, you can get a clearer view of the confluence of the rivers and the bottom of the falls (P16). Continuing downwards, you can see the Victoria Falls Bridge, which serves as the border between the two countries (P17), and a bungee jumping spot. Many sightseeing helicopters can be seen in the sky above.
Returning along the same path, after passing platform 13, you can take a forest path (P18) downhill back to the entrance of the scenic area.

Victoria Falls has a total width of 1,708 meters and a height of 108 meters, making it the world's largest curtain of falling water. The drop of the falls is twice that of Niagara Falls.
In 1855, a European man dressed in hunting attire traveled down the Zambezi River in a dugout canoe. As he approached the falls, he could see the mist from the waterfall from a distance, which puzzled him. He later wrote: 'The river seemed to disappear from the earth. After only 80 feet, it vanishes into the crevice on the opposite side... It is the most magnificent sight I have seen in Africa.' He also wrote: '...Apart from a white mist, nothing could be seen. The mist was like thousands of little meteors, all racing in one direction, each leaving a trail of spray behind.' Despite countless poets and writers praising the falls, it seems that Livingstone's initial commentary remains the most classic.
The extraordinary and grand spectacle came so suddenly and fiercely that it filled Livingstone's heart with amazement and awe. The local blacks had already named it 'Mosi-oa-Tunya' (Mosi-oa-Tunya), meaning 'the smoke that thunders.' However, faced with this magnificent gift from nature, he suggested to the Queen to give this world wonder the name 'Victoria Falls.' With the falls becoming world-famous, the British imprint was thus deeply engraved here.
The transnational Victoria Falls is actually divided into six sections. I first entered Zambia, where it is called 'Eastern Falls.' Then I went to Zimbabwe, starting from the 'Devil's Falls,' to the 'Main Falls,' 'Livingstone Island Falls,' 'Horseshoe Falls,' and 'Rainbow Falls Valley,' which is an interesting and enjoyable journey. After viewing each section of the falls, one needs to walk a distance to see the next, and the scenery along the way is uniquely beautiful. The opposite side of the Main Falls looks like a wilderness, unimaginably lush and verdant, as if entering a tropical rainforest like Xishuangbanna.
I have visited the other two of the world's three great transnational waterfalls (in North and South America). Although Victoria Falls' fame is well-known, and I had many hints of its grandeur, I still felt calm and could not find that soul-stirring sensation. However, this dullness was quickly offset by surprise and busyness. I chased the secret rainbows reflected in the roaring white waves at the edge of the cascading falls. I did not wear the raincoat provided by the guide, just protected my camera, letting the 'smoke that thunders' fall on my head, face, and body. Soon I was drenched, but the appearance of each rainbow, or double rainbows, revived me. I calmly accepted the wetness from the mist and thoroughly enjoyed this 'sky bath.'
This is one of the world's seven natural wonders, listed by National Geographic as a must-see in one's lifetime. The British Livingstone made the falls world-famous, and Livingstone himself became a blessing and a hero to the people of both countries, highly respected and supported throughout the African continent.
Now, the city named 'Livingstone' is on the north side of the great falls, belonging to Zambia. Victoria 'Falls City' is on the south side, belonging to Zimbabwe, with the Victoria Falls Bridge connecting these two small cities.
Another establishment named after the Queen, the 'Victoria Hotel,' is Zimbabwe's first five-star hotel. Staying there, one can feel the grandeur in front of the great falls and the colonial history of more than 100 years.
The 'Elephant Hills Hotel' in Zimbabwe, where I stayed, not only has a helipad with views of the great falls canyon but also long-tailed monkeys that sneak into rooms to steal 'Crunch' from the guests, offering a perfect blend of wild charm and luxury.
There is an old African proverb: You can leave Africa, but Africa will never leave you... (The End)

South Africa Travel Guide
Travel Season
South Africa is located in the southern hemisphere, with seasons opposite to those in the northern hemisphere. Most areas (Pretoria, Johannesburg) have a tropical grassland climate, the western coast is a tropical desert climate, and the southern coast (Cape Town) has a Mediterranean climate.
South Africa is suitable for travel all year round, with good weather throughout the year. The best travel season is from September to November, when the weather is good and the temperature is moderate, with an average temperature of 15-25°C.
The year is divided into four seasons, December to January is summer, with the highest temperature reaching 32~38°C; June to August is winter, with the lowest temperature reaching -10°C ~-12°C
Power Socket
The voltage in South Africa is 220V/230V, 50HZ, using the South African standard three-round socket, it is recommended to buy a conversion plug in advance in your home country, or purchase it at major airports and large shopping malls in South Africa
Culture, Customs and Taboos
Social Etiquette
South African social etiquette can be summarized as 'black and white' and 'mainly British'. The so-called 'black and white' refers to: constrained by race, religion, and customs, the social etiquette followed by black and white South Africans is different; mainly British refers to: for a long period of history, white people controlled the South African government, and white people's social etiquette, especially British-style social etiquette, prevailed in South African society. At present, the common greeting etiquette adopted by South Africans in social situations is a handshake, and their titles for their interlocutors are mainly 'Mr.', 'Miss', or 'Mrs'. Among black tribes, especially in rural areas, black South Africans often show a style different from the mainstream of society. For example, they are accustomed to giving ostrich or peacock feathers to distinguished guests. The appropriate thing for guests to do at this moment is to insert these precious feathers into their hats or hair. Taboos
South Africans who believe in Christianity avoid the number 13; black South Africans greatly respect their ancestors, and they particularly avoid disrespect to their ancestors by outsiders. When talking with South Africans, there are four topics that should not be touched:
1. Do not praise white people
2. Do not comment on the relationship and contradictions between different black tribes or factions.
3. Do not criticize the ancient customs of black people
4. Do not congratulate the other party for having a boy

Victoria Falls - Magical place for visit
Victoria Falls is part of the mighty Zambezi River, which forms the border between Zimbabwe and Zambia. The waterfall straddles Zimbabwe to the west and Zambia to the east, and is easily accessed from either country via Victoria Falls Town in Zimbabwe or Livingstone in Zambia.
The good news is, no matter which side you stay on, you can easily cross the border to explore the other or to undertake activities like white-water rafting, gorge swinging, bungee jumping, visiting Livingstone Island or having dinner on an old-fashioned train. Your Africa Safari Expert will make all the arrangements for the transfers and activities – just have your passport ready for the border crossing!
With a combined width of 1 708 metres (5 604 feet) and height of 108 metres (354 feet), it is the largest waterfall on Earth. The Angel Falls in Venezuela is higher but not wider. It’s 1.5 times wider than and double the height of Niagara Falls with, unlike Niagara, scenic national parks on either side.
When Scottish explorer, Dr David Livingstone first laid eyes on the Falls in 1855, little did he know that it would be confirmed as the world’s largest waterfall, one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the world, and a World Heritage Site.
Little has changed since people discovered Mosi-oa-Tunya thousands of years ago – what you see now is the same astonishing view that awed Livingstone and everyone else lucky enough to see the Falls.

7 different species of plants in color violet
Yes, violet, not purple. Purple is more reddish and saturated, while violet is more bluish and less saturated. Many of you may say it’s unnecessary to distinguish violet from purple since they look so similar, but most other animals don’t share the same types of cones and “post-processing” with us, which means purple and violet may look completely different to them! Today let’s look at 7 different species of #plants in color violet (Or purple, it’s your call)!

Make a trip to Devil’s Bridge! ✨
⛰️ Sedona is a paradise for hikers. 🚶♀️There are plenty of trails to choose from in the area, many of which can lead to one spectacular vista after another. 🔥Devil's Bridge is one of the most #photogenic spots in the area, and no trip to Sedona would be complete without a stop here at least once. The views from below the bridge are undeniably iconic, but the actual views can only be seen from the top. 🏞️
😊 Since the bridge is Sedona’s largest sandstone arch, winter might be the perfect timing for you to visit. ❄️Less crowds, more healing.

Travel checklist, experience the awe-inspiring thunder and mist.
🌈Victoria Falls, which means "the smoke that thunders" (Mosi-oa-Tunya) in the local Tonga language, is a white ribbon of water falling 108 meters from the Zambezi River, with a sound like thunder and mist like rain. The waterfall is located on the border between Zimbabwe and Zambia, surrounded by strange mountains and waters: the basalt canyon twists and turns, with wild date palms and ivory palms growing on both sides of the riverbank, mahogany trees growing in clusters, and vines covering the small islands, like Medusa's hair.
🌟Travelers come straight to the waterfall, but besides that, you can also observe wild giants such as African elephants, baboons, rhinos, and hippos. You can also seek excitement by trying helicopter rides, bungee jumping, and rafting in the rapids below the waterfall. Brave (or reckless) people like to jump into the "Devil's Swimming Pool", where there is a natural rock wall at the bottom of the pool that can serve as an underwater barrier separating swimmers from the abyss.
🔥The Victoria Falls Bridge, which has a history of over 100 years, spans the second gorge of the waterfall, connecting Zambia and Zimbabwe, and is incredibly spectacular. Today, tourists can admire the waterfall from above or below the bridge.
SEE IT! You can approach the waterfall from both sides. Livingstone in Zambia is a popular base camp, and there are also beautiful views on the Zimbabwean side.

We are very fortunate to see the panoramic view of the waterfall on the plane from Harare to Victoria City. It is worth the price. After all, it is only before the waterfall that we can only find that if you want to see the panorama, you can only sit 195. Knife helicopter appreciation.
Why is it that Victoria Falls is hard to get close to, because the water vapor is too big, the View Point of the entire waterfall is divided into sections by the rainforest, and the more you go down, the bigger the water vapor, the closer it is to the rhythm of the wet body. Of course, the President of Zimbabwe said that you should never wear a raincoat when visiting the waterfall. This is a good process of purifying the soul. So I didnt wear a raincoat, and I was thoroughly cleaned from head to toe.
