As one of the most prestigious and sophisticated 5-star hotel brand, Ritz Carlton is another must-go hotel at Guangzhou. The location is great which is pretty near to the subway station. My friend and I didn’t make an reservation in advance but the staff can still arrange seats for us which was nice. The food is okay and satisfying (the one that you expect to get in a normal afternoon tea set) but the service is just so so.

Had a beautiful staycation at the Ritz Carlton in Guangzhou from February 13-15th/2021 😌 It was a year since I saw my parents and sis, so this was a good getaway since I could not go home for the cny break. My room was beautiful, had a tub, view of the Pearl River and Canton Tower, had a gorgeous outdoor pool, yummy breakfast and an amazing comfy bed. 🥰 I was also welcomed with sweets as it was my first stay and CNY was celebrated the day before. I highly suggest this hotel for a nice getaway or staycation. It is also located near the GZ museum, library and opera house, as well as the K11 mall #happynewyear

1. The location is great. It's very convenient for tourists. You can walk to the Guangdong Museum and the Guangzhou Library. It's about a 10-15 minute taxi ride to Taikoo Hui. 2. I arrived at 17:00 and check-in was quick. Interestingly, the doorman took my luggage at the entrance, but then gave it back to me when I checked in. I didn't think it was a big deal, so I didn't make a fuss. 3. The birthday decorations in the room were very atmospheric. The room was renovated in 2021. It has a European style similar to that of Tianjin. The hardware looks new, but the wooden floor reveals its age. The room is small but not cramped. The toilet is a Kohler smart toilet. There is a makeup mirror and a small TV on the sink. 4. The room service is very good. It's the usual style. They don't keep you waiting too long when you call for something. Special thanks to housekeeper Lijun. She was very responsive. When we ran out of supplies, she immediately went to get more for us. She was very considerate. 5. The hotel's public areas are quite rich. There is a tea tasting in the lobby in the morning, and a sugar painting master in the evening. The swimming pool in the fitness area continues the hotel's style. It feels like a Roman bath. The gym is well-equipped, but not very large. It's right next to the swimming pool. 6. The room we booked also had a view of the Canton Tower. Nearby are K11 and the Rosewood Hotel, and it's a 40-minute taxi ride from the airport. The location is indeed superior. ✔️Hotel Service⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ The Ritz-Carlton is renowned for its service, and they didn't disappoint. Apart from the regular check-in process, one night our child was woken up by the kids next door. After we reported it to the hotel, they intervened, coordinated, and even brought us a comforting toy, quickly resolving the issue, which deserves praise. The hotel also has a spa center on the 4th floor, but I wouldn't highly recommend it as it's not very cost-effective. ✔️Breakfast⭐️⭐️⭐️ Perhaps because we had too many delicious foods in Guangzhou, the breakfast at this hotel was not particularly outstanding. However, it does feature Guangzhou's morning tea specialties such as congee, shrimp dumplings, and rice noodle rolls.

The front desk staff are gentle and polite, providing excellent service and a perfect accommodation experience!

The Ritz-Carlton, Guangzhou Having been very satisfied with the excellent service at The Ritz-Carlton, Hong Kong, I chose to trust The Ritz's service again for my affairs in Guangzhou. Compared to other trendy hotels, I prefer the renovated old-money style. The interior is not at all outdated, exuding a low-key luxury. Upon entering the hotel lobby, there is a dome-shaped foyer with a color scheme that has a strong retro vibe. All the decorative accessories also follow the retro old-money style, including a few classic H series in the tea cabinet. The bedroom floor is designed with red bricks and black edges, instantly transporting you to the feel of the Republican era. All the mirrors in the room are vintage with gold trim, and with the warm lighting, I couldn't help but take a few more photos. It’s barely to find such a great Italian restaurant in Guangzhou, but Limoni is in our must go List. We had a five course lunch set, the food quality is super.
