That was something none of us have seen before, definitely not on a mountain! We spotted a nice area with chairs and tables, surrounded by a few shops, where we sat and had our own packed lunches. We crossed two bridges before finally spotting the Ruyi bridge. I went to several glass bridges before and that one was indeed, the most impressive. Being the solo traveler that I am; I planned a trip on my own even after noticing that getting there isn’t as efficient. Luckily, the @trip apartment I booked was only 5 minutes walking distance to the scenic area ticket sales office (Shenxianju tourist transfer center). At the scenic area, there’s a cable way option(not free) for people who aren’t necessarily there for hiking but rather the bridge itself or the greenery. After getting off the cable way there’s an outdoor escalator and as soon as you take that step off, that’s when the real hiking begins. It is very worth coming, but it is recommended to make a strategy in advance, and share it with you as follows. 📍How to get there If you are not driving to Xianju, you usually take the train to Xianju South Station. After arriving at the station, there are two ways to go to Xianju. Method 1-Take a taxi, but you need to pay attention to whether to go to the south gate entrance or the north gate entrance of the scenic spot, the two gates are far apart. This time I started to visit the scenic spot from the south gate, and the taxi fare was about 60 yuan. (If there are elderly people, it is recommended to go to the south gate, the road will be relatively flat, you can also check the official account of Xianju, there is a recommended browsing route) 2-There is a minibus on the right hand side of the train station to take you to Xianju Passenger Station, and then take the passenger minibus from Xianju to Xianju. You need to calculate the time, the passenger minibus departs on time and at 30 minutes. So once you delay, you have to wait for half an hour. The ticket price is 6 yuan per person. The passenger minibus goes to the north gate, not the south gate. 🚉Travel guide: Since I went with my parents this time, I chose the route from the south gate to the north gate, as follows: Arrive at the south gate of the scenic spot - take the cableway up the mountain (65 per person) - take the Nantian Ladder (escalator) to the Nantian Top (here you need an additional 99 yuan per person, no discount for the elderly) - take the elevator down - go to the Buddha Shadow Lotus Rhyme (Internet celebrity check-in point) - Laojuntai - Pantao Garden - Ruyi Bridge - North Gate Cableway down the mountain It takes about 2.5 hours in the scenic area. There are also scenery on this road, and it is good to walk. If you don't walk, you can also choose a shuttle bus for 10 yuan per person to take you to the gate of the scenic spot. In addition, you can also choose to take a taxi to the train station or take a minibus to Xianju Station at the gate of the north gate of the scenic spot, which is also 6 yuan every 30 minutes. In addition, if you enter from the north gate and exit from the south gate, you can take a taxi back to the city directly from the south gate, or you can take a shuttle bus to the north gate. Ticket: Free Most people know that people from Xianju and those born in the Year of the Dragon can enter for free, but actually, you can also enter for free on Fridays. 555 free tickets are released every Thursday at 10 am. Set an alarm and get your tickets easily. If you encounter foggy weather like me, you can go clockwise and leave the Buddha Shadow Lotus Rhyme until last. I recommend going counterclockwise because there are fewer uphill sections. Counterclockwise: Lotus Terrace → Wangfeng Terrace → Hongmeng Bridge → Taiji Terrace → Qingyun Ladder → Wolong Bridge → Yuanmeng Bridge → Ruyi Bridge → Niubei Building → Pantao Garden → Buddha Shadow Lotus Rhyme → Nantian Ladder (escalator) up → Nantian Top → Nantian Bridge → Down the mountain Note: 1. You need to know the local names of the three important stations in Xianju. Xianju Station is called the high-speed rail station by locals, Xianju Bus Station is called the bus station by locals, and Xianju South Station is called the train station by locals. 2. In winter, the scenic area closes the North Gate hiking and mountain top middle line, so you can only hike up and down the South Gate. Even if you take the cable car up and down, I recommend walking a loop. The pure play time on the mountain is about 2-3 hours, and queuing for the Buddha Shadow Lotus Rhyme takes time. 3. I personally think the best natural scenery in the scenic area is from Hongmeng Bridge to Wolong Bridge, with ups and downs, very spectacular.
