Piha Beach is such a wonderful beach with fine jet black sand that feels great to walk through. It is dominated by Lion Rock an extinct Volcanic plug. The waves come crashing in and it is a good beach for surfing but for swimming I would advise swimming where the lifeguards are as there can be currents. Piha beach ,new zealand piha has black sand swept up the coast from entrance to the waikato river piha is highly popular with tourist come to swim and lap up the sun on the beach ther are beachfront parking there are public toilets and changing sheds in the middle of the beach next to the moana steam there is one takeaway on the beach murrays serving ice cream drink and simple takeaways i come around march-april the water still cold not recomend to swim but walk around the beach to sea view is also amazing you can spend 1-2hour here so very nice beach dont miss it and dont forget take a picture at downhill before arrival the beach #staycation #beachlife

When I arrived in Auckland in the morning, after staying at the hotel, my friends were not sleepy. After lunch break, we drove to Bird Island, which is more than 50 kilometers from Auckland, small science: mu Muriwai and Piha, two beaches connected to the outskirts of Auckland, New Zealand, Muriwai is known as the seabird island, one of the few gannet habitats in the world; Piha Black Beach It is famous for its rare black sand beaches, and is famous for its "Piano Love" movie at the 46th Cannes Film Festival Golden Palm Awards. The beautiful beaches have been hailed by the National Geographic magazine as one of the top 30 beauty in the world.
