Choosing this hotel for my trip was the best decision! Not only are the rooms large, newly renovated, and quiet, but the breakfast is also delicious! The hotel's concept of a home away from home is perfect, and the Park Hyatt room layout is comfortable.
In short, this hotel is definitely worth a stay when you travel here, highly recommended!

Artistic Mansion - Park Hyatt Changsha.
Park Hyatt Changsha, designed by the famous British design firm Conran & Partners, is so beautiful and tasteful! The selection of artworks is also very tasteful. Staying in the hotel is like entering an art museum, which is a rare enjoyment in itself. I highly recommend it to everyone!
The 4-story lobby is decorated with a huge art collection. Inspired by Hunan Xiang embroidery, it exudes a fashionable aesthetic through the refraction of the metal table.
The hotel has many porcelain artworks, such as the colored porcelain wall on the 63rd floor, which is inspired by Tongguan Kiln, highlighting the pride of Hunan culture.
I really like the two metal sculptures in the corridors of the LG2 and 1st floor elevator halls. They look like two little pixiu, waiting for guests to play with them.
The hotel is full of artistic atmosphere everywhere, and it is very photogenic. Friends who like to check in and take photos should not miss this treasure hotel~

🌈 Theme: The hotel has many "hidden" works of art. The stories behind them are very interesting. The hotel's design combines local natural and cultural elements, including Hunan landscapes and mountain views, as well as traditional Hunan embroidery and Liling ceramics.

The best hotel in Changsha, no doubt about it.
The Park Hyatt Changsha has been open for two months. I took advantage of the weekend to take a look. I'm only interested in making a special trip for the Park Hyatt. I wouldn't bother with the Grand Hyatt.
This Park Hyatt is owned by Wharf Holdings. Although it's in a good location, it's in the IFS annex. The main tower is occupied by the popular Niccolo hotel. I've stayed at the Niccolo in Changsha. It's pretty ordinary, so I didn't have high expectations for the Park Hyatt in the annex. The negative reviews and photos online also lowered my expectations.
In reality, it's better than I expected. It's not outstanding among Park Hyatt hotels, but it's not bad. At least compared to other Park Hyatt hotels in China, I think it's much better than the ones in Guangzhou and Beijing. The overall quality of the hotel is good and it fits the brand. The design just doesn't photograph well.
Compared to other hotels in Changsha, the design is unique. Don't bother comparing it to the St. Regis or W hotels. They're not in the same league. Overall, the Park Hyatt Changsha is my favorite hotel in Changsha.
The Park Hyatt Changsha is another Park Hyatt designed by Conran and Partners, following the Park Hyatt Jakarta. The designers aimed to create a stylish and luxurious residence in the Star City, drawing on the diverse colors and inspiration of Hunan's rich natural scenery and Changsha's urban landscape to create a stylish home away from home for guests with taste. It's clear that recent Park Hyatt hotels are no longer as complicated as they were in the Yabu era. They're more modern, stylish, and comfortable. Although it's not that stunning and the design isn't particularly outstanding, I personally prefer this modern presentation. At least it's better than some of Potato's works.
I don't think the hotel's color scheme is very bold. These colors represent the passion of Hunan culture. Contrasting colors aren't necessarily not high-end. It depends on the combination. Other hotels in Changsha don't use contrasting colors. Most of them just pile on fancy colors. Compared to the Park Hyatt, it's more balanced.
The Park Hyatt's choice of artwork is also tasteful. For example, the large artwork made of intertwined gold and copper wires in the arrival area on the fourth floor is inspired by the famous Xiang embroidery.
Speaking of public areas, many people complain that they're too small. They are indeed small, but the public areas in Shenzhen and Hangzhou aren't much bigger. Of course, it would be better if the space was bigger.
The hotel's hardware is slightly inferior to top luxury brands. For example, the hardware in the guest rooms is Kohler. Strangely, the public areas use Contemporary. The toilet is not the flagship TOTO model, etc.
The hotel's service is currently good. Although it's sometimes a bit stiff, you can tell they really want to provide good service. The hotel only has one restaurant, but it serves multiple functions. The breakfast is of a high standard for the Park Hyatt. There's so much to eat in Changsha, it's enough to meet general needs.
The strong smell mentioned at the opening has greatly improved and is now completely acceptable. However, there is still a bit of a smell. Maybe some people are particularly sensitive to smells. That's another story.

🌈Theme Features: The newly opened hotel has the consistent artistic style of Park Hyatt. Before coming, I saw many online reviews saying the colors are quite bright, but after staying here, I found the texture seen with the naked eye is still great. The details of the screens and crystal lamps are excellent.
🏘️Room Type/Layout: I stayed in a standard room, and it even had a separate walk-in closet!! The blackout curtains work very well, I slept until 12 o'clock without any problem.
🧹Soundproofing/Hygiene: Since it opened on June 1st, the hotel's equipment and facilities are very new and clean. The door is really thick and heavy, and the soundproofing is excellent.
🎯Entertainment Facilities: I could spend a whole day in the pool floor, the various spa facilities are very complete.
💗Other Tips: I experienced the hotel's afternoon tea and a dinner at Leilan. The cake was delicious!! Although the afternoon tea is relatively expensive in Changsha, it is worth it, with caviar. For dinner, there is a sommelier who thoughtfully pairs the wine, and all the dishes we ordered were very tasty. Changsha is indeed a great place for food lovers . You can also see the popular IFS dolls from a distance, so you don't need to go out in the hot weather.

The hotel has well integrated the bustling city life with modern fashion, and the overall color scheme is very attractive, using red, orange, and green as the main colors. The hotel also incorporates many natural and exquisite elements from Hunan, full of details, and everywhere you look is photogenic.

This Park Hyatt is quite special, with only one restaurant, 'Rayland', which operates all day. It offers a semi-buffet breakfast, Chinese restaurant, lobby bar, and a bar. The semi-buffet breakfast is particularly good, with must-try items like Eggs Benedict and rice noodles! Additionally, the recent lunchtime dim sum all-you-can-eat offer is super popular🔥.
🛏Hotel Experience
The rooms are very comfortable, offering views of Changsha's city center skyline. Both city and river views are impressive, with the river view rooms mostly overlooking the 'Old Changsha Trio'; the rooms' dark green color scheme and dark red furniture are very tasteful, reminiscent of natural landscape elements. The drinking water in the rooms is provided in glass bottles of Voss, and there are also custom Bluetooth speakers and the familiar lelabo22 toiletries!

The location of the hotel is superb! It is situated at the top of Tower T2 of the IFS in Changsha's Guojin Center, which is also a trendy landmark in Changsha. It is within walking distance to attractions such as Wuyi Square, Tianxin Pavilion, and Du Fu River Pavilion, and taxis are also conveniently available. Additionally, the hotel's fitness center is quite nice, with a 25-meter constant temperature swimming pool, as well as a constant temperature steam room, and vitality hot tub with bubble massage seats that you can also try out.

The Park Hyatt Changsha hotel grandly opens on 2024.6.1! It is the tenth Park Hyatt hotel in mainland China and the first in the central region. The hotel was designed by the British design firm Conran and Partners. To be honest, it looks a hundred times better than the renderings. Take the elevator from the 4th floor to the 62nd floor and turn left to find the lobby, where the Park Hyatt's tone is immediately apparent, but the lobby space is a bit cramped, and the firework lamps are very impressive in person. To the right of the 62nd-floor elevators is the dining area 'Leland', where the breakfast room, afternoon tea, bar, and all-day dining are all gathered together. Personally, I think it's the most outstanding part of the hotel's design. The actual scene is very attractive, but the overall space is still small, and I can't imagine what the queue will look like during the breakfast rush in the future. Following are some photos of the 63F salon level and the 48F swimming pool and gym. All are unfiltered iPhone direct shots. I will post about the guest rooms once they are sorted out tomorrow.
Follow-up edit: Regarding the restaurant area, I also asked the hotel manager, and she said that all four areas of the restaurant can be used for breakfast, so that's still okay. Initially, I thought only the eastern part of the restaurant was available for breakfast, so it seemed quite small.
