La Brasserie, a romantic and stylish French restaurant in Istanbul 🇹🇷❤️
Tonight, a few friends and I gathered at a stylish French restaurant with a blue and white theme in the Flower Market. There's even an outdoor terrace, and the indoor ambiance is cozy with dim lighting.✨️ The seating is spacious, and the environment is truly comfortable.
As soon as we sat down, we ordered a glass of Champagne🍾.
🔹️Charles Orban Carte Noire $158
It has a citrusy aroma, with hints of citrus fruits.
🔹️Escargots $168
We started with the French snails🐌 as an appetizer.
The flavor of herbs is rich, and the meat is tender with a slight chewiness.
🔹️Pate En Croutes $188
This is a special cold dish of French-style pâté encased in pastry. It looks like a slice of toast, with a crispy outer layer and various meats inside. There are even some nuts, providing a rich texture.
🔹️Foie Gras Terrine $228
A must-try French delicacy, the foie gras has a texture that's not as greasy as usual. I actually found it even more delicious without the accompanying sauce.
🔹️Smoked Salmon $168
The smoked salmon paired with salmon roe is exceptionally flavorful, and the roe has no fishy taste at all.
🔹️Layer Potato $90
🔹️Gratin Dauphinoise $90
Both dishes feature potatoes but with distinct flavors.
🔹️Roasted Carrots $90
The carrots, accompanied by the restaurant's homemade sauce, are very unique and creamy. I personally felt a slightly spicy flavor.
🔹️Cote DE Veau Panne$458
The veal chop has a crispy golden exterior, and the meat itself is quite flavorful.
🔹️Dry Aged Duck Breast$488
Although the duck breast has a crispy skin, the meat was slightly overcooked, which was a bit disappointing.🤭
🔹️Bouillabaisse $388
This is actually a soup with lots of seafood, including fish, mussels, shrimp, and scallops, as well as French bread. It has many ingredients, but the broth is not too much.😆 However, the flavor is rich, and we couldn't resist ordering more glasses of white wine.🥂
🔹️Pouilly Fume $168
It has a very pronounced fruity taste, and it pairs well with seafood dishes.
When it comes to French cuisine, the desserts are always highly anticipated.🍰
🔹️Crepes Suzette Au $268
This dessert is similar to the pancakes we usually eat. The waiter prepared it in front of us, adding sugar, eggs, lemon, and butter, and then flambéed it with alcohol. It was truly eye-opening!🤩 Served hot with a scoop of vanilla ice cream🍨, it was incredibly delicious.🤤
French cuisine is often associated with delicate portions, but La Brasserie is different. The portions are generous, and this French meal left us feeling quite full.🤭 Coupled with excellent service, I will definitely arrange another gathering with friends here.👍

【Central】LINLEE Handcrafted Lemon Tea: Another handcrafted lemon tea spot, a new Instagram-worthy landmark in Central.
LINLEE Handcrafted Lemon Tea's new branch in Central has been open for a while, and this time I tried their signature handcrafted lemon tea. Outside the new store, there is a giant yellow duck installation that is very eye-catching and perfect for taking photos.
The tea of the signature handcrafted lemon tea is clear and bright, with a lemon aroma that is not very strong. Compared to another famous handcrafted lemon tea, I prefer the other one. However, each sip perfectly blends the tea leaves and lemon, making it very suitable for cooling down in the summer. When you buy a tea drink, you also get a small duck. If you want to collect different styles of small ducks, it will take some time.

Central's Flower Market | The Perfect Combination of Urban Art and Slow Living
Flower Market, the vibrant street in Central, is like an open-air gallery where every wall and corner is filled with unexpected surprises. The murals and graffiti here are not merely decorations, but a microcosm of the city's culture. Walking here, it seems as if every stroke of color is telling the story and soul of the city.
Looking at those creative patterns, one can't help but feel a sense of leisure and comfort, forming a stark contrast with the fast-paced impression of Hong Kong. Strolling around, time seems to slow down, and the gaze is drawn to these vivid walls, filling the heart with peace and joy.
Flower Market always attracts numerous tourists and local citizens to take photos and make memories, with each mural serving as an excellent photo backdrop. There are also those little shops hidden in the alleys, where the aroma of coffee and the scent of art intertwine in the air, perfectly interpreting the essence of 'slow living'.
This visit to Central's Flower Market is not only an exploration of modern urban art but also a settling of the heart. Experience the beauty of slow living, escape the hustle and bustle, and make every moment of life extraordinarily wonderful.

A Must-Visit French Restaurant on Central's Flower Market Street
Walking through Central on the way to work, you'll often see the large advertisement for La Brasserie by the Mid-Levels Escalator, which is truly eye-catching. Finally, on the eve of a long holiday, I made a special trip to explore the restaurant and taste the French flavors.
The restaurant is simple and elegant, with a large bar area right at the entrance. To the left is the wine cellar, stocked with a variety of red and white wines.
Since we had to catch a plane early the next day, the enthusiastic waiter recommended the lightly alcoholic Hugo and La Petite Reve to us.
Hugo
A cocktail made from St.Germain, Lillet Blanc, cucumber, and champagne, it's refreshingly delicious and leaves you feeling relaxed and happy! A surprisingly delightful cocktail.
La Petite Reve
Made with butterfly pea flower vodka, lavender, and blueberries, it's a sweet and easy-to-drink light purple beverage.
Tartare au couteau
The beef tartare looks blood-red but doesn't feel like raw meat when eaten; instead, it's very tender. The raw beef has a slightly spicy and sour taste, which is quite appetizing.
Escargots bourguignonne
Garlic butter baked French snails
The mashed potatoes are smooth, and the snails are conveniently shell-less, with a garlic aroma complemented by a hint of parsley. The slightly crispy breadcrumbs add a nice touch to this small dish of baked snails!
Bouillabaisse French seafood soup
If you love soup, you definitely shouldn't miss this seafood soup! It's like the Chinese Sea Dragon King soup, with lots of seafood, including mussels, scallops, prawns, sea bass, fried shrimp heads, etc. The soup is creamy and sweet! The lobster flavor is rich, the seafood is fresh, the scallops are plump, the fish is tender, and the crispy fish skin adds a nice touch, along with a generous portion. For the price, the quantity, and the taste, it's truly great value!
Crispy layered potatoes with the meat and rosemary
This can be called crispy potato layers because the rectangular shape creates a layered effect. The texture is crispy and full of potato flavor, reminiscent of a mix between a Napoleon and a crispy potato cake! It's surprising how delicious potatoes can be made, leaving a memorable impression.
Magret de canard dry-smoked duck breast
The French red label certified duck breast guarantees production quality, so in addition to its visible plumpness, the flavor is also excellent. The duck breast is large and tender. Paired with kumquat honey sauce, the sweet and sour taste complements the tender duck breast perfectly, making it one of the best duck breasts I've ever had, and it's no wonder it's ordered at every table! It can truly be considered a signature dish of the restaurant!
The final desserts were Soufflé Pistache and Tarte Tatin. The apple pie is full of green apple aroma, with a slightly crispy crust, accompanied by cinnamon, an irresistible flour scent. Paired with a scoop of smooth vanilla ice cream, it's simple and satisfying!
The pistachio soufflé has a strong pistachio flavor, and the soufflé is soft and airy, not feeling heavy at all! The pistachio sauce in the center is the finishing touch, making the dessert even more outstanding.
It can be said that after eating countless French meals in Hong Kong, this restaurant truly surprises with every dish, showing the chef's attention to detail, striving to present each dish in its best taste to the diners. La Brasserie is definitely a French restaurant I've eaten at in recent years that I would absolutely recommend! The value for money, taste, environment, and service all score highly!
