The hotel renovates and opened on 28th December 2023 and rebrand from Regent to Conrad. Very nice location on orchard. And I am very like the design of this hotel, I have my birthday here and enjoy a nice service of the club lounge. Only one point is that the suite have not bathtub, a little bit sad. But have a terrace that could take a seat outside. And the pool also nice that together with all day dining restaurant.

Regent with Regal Experience
Sharing a recent trip at Regent Singapore, which will be rebrand and reflagged in 2023, I decided to quickly make a stay there. Was upgraded to Premium Room and given a 4pm Late check out.
Welcome amenity is a special gin concoction made by the Manhattan Bar which goes well with the food! The bed is very comfy, the armchair + Ottoman is soft to touch that ensure a good rest. On the other hand, the bathroom is pretty small...
Unfortunately the service fells short and was slow, which got me really frustrated. In the end, the Guest Experience Manager noticed this and gave a special gift from Basilico and 5000 IHG points as compensation.

Cosy morning breakfast
Whenever my husband and I go on a staycation, we most often look forward to checking out the breakfast buffet spreads in the morning! This time, we were at Regent Hotel and our complimentary breakfast was to be served at the main dining restaurant, Basilico.
It was one of the more varied breakfast spreads we’ve seen, and there were many items to choose from. They even have jugs of different types of juices that are not the usual, like cranberry and grapefruit.
My overall rating of the experience: 4 out of 5 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Lots of sun bed around for guest who want some nature vitamins D. There is also sitting area around the pool for guest to chill. Their gym are also

From the moment we checked in here at the club lounge, we were amazed by the serenity and calm offered by the ambience here. Not only is the lounge furnished with fairly modern furniture and interiors, the staff were very on-the-ball, giving us dining recommendations and suggestions for tea-pairings.
The food served here was also very impressive, despite it being a small variety. Really made our stay more worth it.

Regent hotel have a very grand and huge lobby. The front staff are extremely helpful with all our question. was told their gym are 24 hours open. The hotel is also a pets friendly hotel which you can bring your puppy for a staycation.
The room is spacious with lot of drinking water provided without requesting for more. The ambiance of the room are good with the 80s classic vibe which we love it. The bathroom come with a bathtub too. Overall is a comfortable stay. complimentary parking given to guest who drive.

Basilico Italian restaurant
Address - Regent Hotel, 1 Cuscaden Road, Singapore 249715
Basilico is a well-known Italian restaurant located on level 2 of Regent Hotel. You need to make an advance booking, especially if dining on the weekends as the restaurant is quite popular and may be too full to accept walk-ins.
If you are a fan of Italian appetizers, cheeses and desserts, do go for the semi-buffet option where you pick a main, and then get to enjoy free-flow appetizers and desserts!

Regent Facilities
#muststay at Regent for their complete gym facilities and luxurious vibe. The only turn down point is Basilico breakfast, so I'd suggest to book this hotel without breakfast.
Greeted by very friendly receptionist, I love this luxurious vibe of hotel. Never regret staying here but I feel that once is enough unless if you have extra money.
The interior make you feel like you are in a palace. Complete with marbled floors and walls, and that luxury ballroom light. Plus the capsule lift make it as if you are in the old "castle" 👀
Thanks to Trip, I got this experience for around $200; above that price I'd definitely skip. 😬

Basilico
Heard that it's nice to dine in here but when I stayed at Regent I feel that the breakfast was 'meh' :/
Not many choices to choose and service here is quite bad, no friendly server. All self service, yet not a complete choice of meal. Even the fruits also we need to just take it raw? Cut fruits already in assortment that we can't choose and it was not fresh!
The rest are just normal western kind of easy to prepare meal. But what I love the most is that we can take out coffee, chocolate or any hot beverages with packaging provided. Tea, however, need to be requested. Lemon slice? need to take from the salad section.
Definitely not a 5* place that I will spent only once. Not gonna go back anymore.

Regent Spore -dated old school classy staycay
Finally did this after my reschedule! But at a slight higher price. BOO. 🥶
My dated but immaculate room was a great respite for 1night, and the birthday setup was a surprise heh. Not a fan of the shower-tub combi (who still uses shower curtains these days)? 🙈
Regent Club was an old school classy space offering petite bites for afternoon tea, quality nosh for evening cocktails (more of those roasted veg pls!), topped off with great service ❤️
I now get why this property continues to have loyal guests even though some parts feels very much like yesteryears. 🫠
Great stay, great service, and club lounge rocks. my definition of a proper Staycay!

Regent grand lobby
Address - Regent Hotel, 1 Cuscaden Road, Singapore 249715
My husband and I were quite impressed when we walked through the doors of Regent Hotel into the lobby. It is one of the grander and larger ones we’ve seen with a touch of opulence. There were inviting lounge chairs and sofas at different corners so we didn’t need to worry about seating space.
Even the check-in and reception counters had gorgeous marble flooring and a huge chandelier as a centerpiece. Quite a sight to behold if you do come to stay at this hotel!

Manhattan Bar Regent Hotel
Manhattan Bar at Regent Hotel is a bar for customers to wind down after a long day at work. They are also open on Sundays for brunch too. Got the apple crumble dessert as the bar snack which was recommended by the staff. The petite apples were cute and presented nicely too. The apples are made of cheese with the biscuit crumble as the base to prop the apples up.
When I was there, I had their limited edition cocktail called Lion City which is not on their usual menu. Topped off with a cherry, it is made of cherry liqueur and dry gin, which gives the cocktail fruity notes with a touch of spiciness.
Service staff were attentive and patient. Was shocked though when she had to almost go in a kneeling position just to make eye contact with me as my sofa seat was on a lower side, even though I appreciate the effort to maintain eye contact. The same lady also topped up the side of popcorn for me and checked on me every now and then.

Lovely Hotel with old school charm
Stayed in Premium Room 739, room facing Cuscaden Road. The room was big, 38 sqm. First thing i noticed was the old school charm of the room. From the lamps, to the wooden and marble fitting in the toilet and the cold/hot water taps. Would have to say it was a different experience from the modern rooms in most 5 star hotels these days. But, it’s not all school. A 55 inch Samsung tv which allowed for Bluetooth music to be played, android casting, hdmi ports and all… The bed was one of the best I’ve slept on so far. it was firm enough and a high bed. I could toss and turn without my partner being disturbed as the mattress was firm enough. the pillow was a tad too soft though.
The tap was on the small side, with no separate shower and bathtub. The hot/cold tap means having to find the sweet spot to not freeze or burn yourself to death. The water pressure was on the Low side as well. The cistern was showing its age too, not concealed and a little too Low. Toilet paper could not all be flushed at one go too. Sound proofing was not the best too. Can hear a bit of the traffic from outside and the sound of the ac and taps (intermittently) can be a little distracting.
However, what made up for the stay was the architecture of the hotel. Uniquely designed, I had a lot of fun time taking many many photos of different angles of the architecture and the lifts etc…
Breakfast was at the stunning Basilico. Nice to see buffet has resumed here. The standard selection of buffet breakfast items can be found. Taste was average only though with nothing standing out. We went at around 9.30am and had to wait for around 10 mins for an available table.
Overall, the hotel is worth a stay just for its architecture along and the chance to experience opulent hotel room deco from the 80s but with modern touches. If the price is right, I’ll definitely be back.

Regent Singapore
Thanks to Tripblazer, I can have birthday celebration at Regent Singapore. This is the most basic but comfortable room. It's not too small or big.
When I reached by 3.30pm, I was greeted by cheerful and smiley receptionist. I can see that she serve with heart but too bad didn't capture her name. The room shower head spoiled but technician came over to fix it. Asked for additional amenities and it came! However, need to wait for quite long. Service here is a bit slow but okay, maybe due to lack of manpower.
Indicated that I want to celebrate birthday and they provide surprise & sweet note. Birthday cake was hidden in fridge because scared it will be melt. Overall it's a good stay. Thank you Trip!

Korean-themed afternoon tea
Address - Tea Lounge, Regent Hotel, 1 Cuscaden Road, Singapore 249715
Situated on level 1 at the lobby of Regent Hotel, Tea Lounge is the restaurant that mainly serves afternoon tea! During the month that my husband and I did our staycation, their theme was Korean.
The original price per person is usually $72++ but as we used a promo code, we only paid $62++ per person. The food selection was sufficiently varied and some items were very yummy while others could be much improved. Ambience was very relaxing though, perfect for long catch-up sessions.

Pool with a city view
Address - Regent Hotel, 1 Cuscaden Road, Singapore 249715
On our most recent staycation at the Regent Hotel, my husband and I got to enjoy the swimming pool located on level 2 of the property! The pool area had an awesome view of the surrounding building cityscape that we could admire while relaxing on the lounge chairs.
The pool was quite kid-friendly too as it had clear demarcations on the depth of water and buoys with a line for kids to know where not to swim. However, the pool was not that big so there are quite a number of times that we bumped into other guests while swimming.

Art and design in Regent Hotel
Address - Regent Hotel, 1 Cuscaden Road, Singapore 249715
Tucked away in a corner of Orchard Road, Regent Hotel is a 5-star property with excellent facilities and amenities! There are many works of art around the hotel but to be honest, the hotel itself is a work of art. Designed by John Portman himself, the lines and angles of the structure is quite awe-inspiring and beautiful.
At the entrance, you will see a huge metal sculpture in the middle of a fountain. Inside, there are many massive intricate chandeliers that don the hallways. It is truly a feast for the eyes!

Garden welcome at Regent Hotel
Address - Regent Hotel, 1 Cuscaden Road, Singapore 249715
As we were pulling up to the entrance of Regent Hotel, we observed that there was a whole lot of greenery and flowers that lined the hotel’s front porch! It was more eye-catching than those outside other hotels as there was a lot more colour from the various flowers.
It was really a sight to admire that I walked out to take a closer look. Wonderful landscaping works! The bus stop is also right outside the hotel so if you’re taking a public bus, this is the gorgeous garden welcome you’ll get to enjoy too!

Oriental art collection
Address - Regent Hotel, 1 Cuscaden Road, Singapore 249715
Regent Hotel is one of the older hotels in Singapore and its timeless quality does come through in the interior design as well as in its art collection! You can find paintings along almost every corridor and every floor. Each wall on every floor has a huge painting that figuratively greets guests as they walk out of the lift lobby.
In the club lounge, there are also some traditional trunks and chests that add a touch of oriental vibes to the space. One thing I did feel was that the paintings could afford to have more character as after a while, they started looking a bit too generic.

My brother and his wife too were delighted by their staff's proactive & prompt service.
Spacious room & spotlessly clean. Location is just within 5 mins drive to Orchard shopping districts.
We tried Dolcetto via the hotel lobby, serving great Italian coffee / pastries as well as buratta salad.
Finished it off with their Italian gelato by the evening before we finally left with our luggage.

I made the right choice with this budget hotel in Singapore! I'll come again next time.
Conrad Singapore Orchard
Let's start with the guest room area. The newly renovated and rebranded Conrad Singapore Orchard is still very competitive in terms of guest rooms. With a minimalist style as the core, the overall look is elegant and comfortable, with a touch of Edition (barely a substitute for Edition). If you ignore the bathroom and view, the guest rooms at Conrad Singapore Orchard are quite good.
The distance to the station, and you have to walk a slope to get to the subway or bus station. If you are traveling with your family, transportation is not very convenient.
The hotel's dining facilities are great, with the Michelin-starred Summer Palace and Manhattan, the second-best bar in Asia. I tried Manhattan, and the food was really great. If you are not sure what to drink, you can also talk to the waiter and ask them for recommendations.
The hotel's gym, with the morning light shining on the French-style buildings on the periphery, reflects a pale yellow light, giving me the feeling of being in a small French town in summer. This beautiful picture has always appeared in my mind, and I highly recommend friends who have booked this hotel to check in.
Although the check-in experience was average, it doesn't matter. I was already healed by my idol that day 🥰🥰, and my mind was full of concert scenes.
Back to the point, let's do an overall review.
The main selling points of Conrad Singapore Orchard are the new rooms and affordable prices, but I think the location and hotel facilities are average, and the hotel service needs to be improved, so I don't recommend Conrad Singapore Orchard.

If you are travelling solo and you enjoy treating yourself to the finer things in life, you definitely have to put Conrad Dolcetto on your must-try list when hou visit Singapore! One of the items you have to try is their quiches, so delicious with its flaky and buttery crust plus tasty fillings! They do have promotions from time to time so do check with the staff for the latest updates.

A disappointing new Conrad Orchard
A much anticipated stay which ended up being rather disappointing. ☠️
Don’t get me wrong - the renovations did the room a massive favor with its clean modern design (timeless as some say), soothing colors tones, and plenty enough power points for juicing devices. I loved the spacious sofa area, huge swivel TV, and fluffy bathrobes ❤️
What was disappointing was the software - it was a cluster of unpolished service from front desk to club lounge which was jarring for a Conrad, least to say a new ones. 4days into the soft opening, this property should have been trying to impress but it instead felt like the staff were underprepared and untrained with basic processes, with little to no knowledge about Diamond elite treatment 🥲
Speaking of elite treatment, there were plenty missed opportunities which would have made so much difference: no welcome amenity (unless the generic cookies given out by housekeeping was it but there was no accompanying note so I wouldn’t know), no special treatment for elites at Basilico, and just in general no feeling that Diamond members are valued guests other than a printed welcome letter presented at check in. 🙈
What was essential to me and not just a good-to-have is a good night’s sleep in my room - this did not happen because party music from Manhatten was blasting audibly until 2am. I mean I know it’s NYE but surely there are some guests like us who prefers a good night rest versus being blasted partying music through our doors at 2am?! I guess soundproofing was never a consideration during the reno but if it is as bad as it is on every operating day or Manhatten then the property needs to address this real quick 🍀
Great scones at the lounge and great gym though 🎊

Tea Lounge Conrad Singapore
#mysgmemories My experience at the Tea Lounge in Conrad Singapore Orchard was a delightful journey through authentic local flavors and culinary treasures. The spread of local cuisines, from satay to laksa, was a genuine homage to Singapore's vibrant food scene. The dishes were so meticulously prepared that they transported me to a bustling hawker center.
The plush and luxurious atmosphere of the Tea Lounge provided the perfect backdrop for this culinary adventure. The fusion of comfort and elegance made the dining experience even more enjoyable.
The buffet's selection of local delicacies was a true testament to the rich cultural tapestry of Singapore. Savoring satay and laksa that tasted as if they were crafted by seasoned hawker stall masters was a remarkable experience. Each bite carried the authenticity and depth of flavor that I associate with the local favorites.
The inclusion of a variety of teas and drinks with the buffet added an extra layer of delight. The ice chocolate and sencha were particularly outstanding, complementing the culinary journey beautifully.
The offering of local desserts like ang ku kueh and kueh salat showcased the venue's commitment to providing a holistic experience of Singaporean cuisine.
A personal highlight for me was the Teochew porridge with prawn, fish, and porkball. The nostalgic flavors took me back to cherished memories of my grandmother's cooking, creating a heartwarming connection to the past.
For anyone seeking an authentic taste of Singapore's culinary heritage in a refined setting, the Tea Lounge at Conrad Singapore Orchard is an absolute gem. The meticulous attention to flavors, the range of dishes, and the inviting atmosphere make it an unparalleled destination for experiencing genuine Singaporean cuisine.
