Chan She Shu Yuen Temple is a historic building that located in the Chinatown to serve as the headquarter for Tan Clan Association for ancestral hall and family member.
Not a very huge fancy place but this is where you can take insta-worthy photo with the ancient building plus modern skyscrapers together. Temple in the front-ward and the 118 Merdeka is right behind of it!!!
If you would like to enter the temple to pay a visit, entrance fee is needed at RM 5 per person. Just put it into the box at the entrance and you are welcomed to enter!!

Chan She Shu Yuen Clan Ancestral Hall building is one of the most historical sites in KL, and declared a protected heritage building by the National Cultural Heritage Act 2005. I'm glad I got to see this splendid building, even for a short while, as they were about to close for the day. 💦
The historical building in Chinatown. Accessible to the public for free and phototaking is allowed. An Ancestral Hall for the Chan clan. No crowded even we visit during Sunday. 👀
As you walk into building main entrance, look up for the golden wolden sculpture hanging on top. Read about the Chan clan history at the left and right of the building. Get to know Jalan Chan Sow Lin was named after him. Visit the small historic gallery located on the left. 💕
The Hall is small but is kept maintained and gives off a good aura when I entered it. It has a small room for exhibition of its history and will have you educated on it. The historical artefacts on the exhibitions are also interesting. 👍🏻

This place is actually a Chinese Library located in Kuala Lumpur City Centre. This is one of the famous spots in here because it is just within the parameter of Petaling Street.
There is even a Four Points Hotel KL just beside this library. Their operation hour is open until 5pm daily only, so remember to drop by earlier to pay a visit inside!

Although Kuala Lumpur is less than 200 years old, every corner of the city is filled with unforgettable charm. Here, you can feel the collision of different ethnic cultures, and the interweaving of tradition and modernity in every corner.
Let's start a Citywalk journey. First, start from the Islamic Arts Museum Malaysia, which is like a pearl of time, standing in the center of the city. The museum houses more than 7,000 exhibits, including Arabic calligraphy, textiles, jewelry, and porcelain, all of which show the unique charm of Islamic culture.
Next, we come to the Kuala Lumpur Railway Station. The railway station built in 1910 and the railway company building opposite tell the integration of Eastern and Western designs. The round corner pavilions, onion domes, and horseshoe arches they show not only represent the precipitation of history, but also the eternal elegance.
Then there is the surrounding area of Petaling Street. Although the main street of Petaling Street has become a synonym for counterfeit goods and foreign labor, the surrounding area is full of multicultural integration and historical traces. In addition, there are Yee Kwan Tofu Pudding and Kung Wo Tong Herbal Tea to cool off the heat.

The Chan She Shu Yuen Ancestral Hall is located in 172, Jalan Petaling, City Centre, Wilayah Persekutuan Kuala Lumpur. The architectural of this heritage building is a Cantonese-style incorporating Han & Baiyue elements.
Reknown by its exquisite gilded carvings, figerines embellishing all over the rooftops & walls, and the gable end-wall are in unique shape. It also featuring a small museum.
Established by several Chan clansmen who were the pillars of local society in the late 19th century. This ancestral hall was renovated in 2017, it has changed their main colour from light green to dark grey.
Open daily from 10am to 5pm, free admission!
