A masterpiece of architectural history - Yingxian Wooden Pagoda.

Yingxian Wooden Pagoda, also known as the Sakyamuni Pagoda of Fogong Temple, is located in Yingxian County, Shuozhou City, Shanxi Province. It is the tallest and oldest existing wooden pagoda in China, and the only wooden pagoda-style building, making it a masterpiece of architectural history. Yingxian Wooden Pagoda was built in the second year of the Qingning period of the Liao Dynasty (the third year of the Zhihe period of the Song Dynasty, 1056 AD) and was completed in the sixth year of the Mingchang period of the Jin Dynasty (the first year of the Qingyuan period of the Southern Song Dynasty, 1195 AD). It is the oldest and tallest existing pure wooden pavilion-style building in the world. Its structure is exquisite, with the entire pagoda made of 3,000 cubic meters of red pine wood, weighing over 2,600 tons, and is a pure wooden structure without nails or rivets. The pagoda also houses numerous Buddha statues and cultural relics, with high historical, artistic, and scientific value. Yingxian Wooden Pagoda
