Experience of staying in a suite at the Xi'an Economic Development Zone InterContinental Hotel

Located in the north of the city, the area from Fengcheng First Road to Sixth Road used to be called 'Dao Bei', which means north of the railway. In the old days, the public security here was not very good, with well-known local figures like Wei Zhenhai and others making their mark here. As a child, I grew up watching the big Xi'an manhunts and the 12.8 shooting cases, which were somewhat of a childhood shadow. Over time, the security in this area has improved significantly, and it has even become the location of the city government, with a subway station right below the hotel. The lobby is very trendy, designed by a major firm, but the greenery is all fake, which is a bit disappointing. The rooms are spacious, though the view is not great, you can draw the curtains. The room design and color scheme are perfect, with black and white accented by avocado green, and the inclusion of a Dyson hairdryer and air purifier is definitely a high-end amenity among InterContinental hotels nationwide, as is the high-end naturabisse skincare set. The bathroom hardware is from newform. Breakfast was pleasant, with freshly squeezed orange and watermelon juice available. The price is very reasonable, with base room rates starting at 600 in the off-season and suites starting at 1300. The value for money is excellent, highly recommended.
