Incredibly Impressive!

At about 90 Euros for 3 of us, this was expensive to start with. But you see the challenge with cities like venice has always been how to make sense of what you spend and what you get. Doge's palace is an exception. The place is a historical gem and architectural marvel. Even with how stuffy it was. Yes we were sweating, plus the crowds in Venice. It takes a solid place to still make 3 difficult tourists feel satisfied. The intricate carvings, the gold leaf around paintings the gothic appearance. The moment you enter this place it starts occupying your attention. There are grand staircases and opulent rooms. Each rooms with work of a different artist. The iconic bridge of sigh cannot be missed it connects the palace to a the prision. Such a heavy dose of history surrounds it. The courtyard offers beautiful views. This place cannot be treated as a mere musuem. It is an experience to be had. It tells you stories of its past and some of the artwork bring you real close to it.
