Trip to Toulouse 🇫🇷

It was a weekend trip to Toulouse, France with my partner. We started our trip at the iconic Place du Capitole*, the heart of Toulouse. The square is surrounded by beautiful historic buildings, including the Capitole de Toulouse. We wandered through the arcades and admired the stunning neoclassical architecture. The square is perfect for a morning coffee, so we sat down at Le Bibent for a quick coffee ☕️ 📍5 Place du Capitole, 31000 Toulouse* Next, we visited the Basilique Saint-Sernin, a UNESCO World Heritage site and one of the largest Romanesque churches in Europe. The beauty of its towering architecture amazed us, and the peaceful atmosphere inside was the perfect escape from the bustling streets 🙌 📍13 Place Saint-Sernin, 31000 Toulouse In the afternoon, we explored the Jacobins Convent, a stunning medieval monastery with incredible stained glass windows and peaceful gardens. The highlight for us was the beautiful Palm Tree vault inside the church ⛪️ an architectural wonder! It’s a serene spot for both of us ro walk around and relax. 📍 69 Rue Pargaminières, 31000 Toulouse* For dinner, we headed to Le Genty Magre, a modern French bistro offering a fantastic fine dining experience. We loved their duck breast which was tender and full of flavor. The wine 🍷 selection was also excellent, with a great range of local wines. 📍3 Rue Genty Magre, 31000 Toulouse* We started the day with a stroll along the Garonne River, admiring the beautiful views of the Pont Neuf bridge, which dates back to the 16th century. It’s a lovely walk, especially in the early morning when the light is soft, and the city feels peaceful. We’d recommend grabbing a coffee ☕️ at one of the nearby cafés before setting out. 📍Pont Neuf, 31000 Toulouse* **Midday: Les Abattoirs - Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art** In the afternoon, we took a short trip outside the city to visit the Cité de Espace, an interactive space museum. We explored exhibits on space exploration and even saw life-sized models of spacecraft! It’s perfect for couples who love science and want to learn something new ❤️ 💰€21 📍 Avenue Jean Gonord, 31500 Toulouse* To finish off our trip, we had dinner at Monsieur Georges, a chic restaurant offering a mix of French and Mediterranean dishes. The atmosphere was lively, and we particularly enjoyed their seafood platter.
