Most famous Basilica in ths world

While being the basilica in Vatican alone causes it to be so well known. What is astounding is that this basilica is home to some of the biggest masterpieces of art. From the legendary michaelangelo's Pieta to the statue of Longinus in the crossing and much more. Aside from the fact that this is amongst the most holiest of sites in Christianity and Catholicism. It is difficult to describe what I felt when visiting the saint Peter's basilica. This is an overwhelming experience when coupled with sights of Vatican, the sistine chapel and other gems. It's beyond expectations. The Basilica looks bigger in person. It's crowded as always. Took me almost an hour in the que to get in and then another 40 minutes of wait to see the dome. Every piece of art and statue that you will come across is not only very well kept but is amongst the most famous of artistic creations. This is worth the effort. #italytrip#stpetersbasilica #rome #historicallandmarks #mytravelhacks #summerdestinations #europetrip #localguides #100waysoftravel #vatican
