Qilian Mountain Grassland, the grassland where the wind blows and the grass is low, revealing cattle and sheep

The average altitude of the Qilian Mountain range is between 4000 meters and 5000 meters. The glaciers formed by the snow-capped mountains create a magnificent and spectacular glacial landscape. Areas above an altitude of 4000 meters are called the snow line. Above the snow line of Qilian Mountain, there are often reverse biological wonders. In the shallow snow layers of the mountains, there are mushroom-shaped plants called snow mountain meadows, precious medicinal herbs such as the alpine snow lotus, and a type of snow mountain grass that grows under wind-eroded rocks. Therefore, the snow lotus, snow mountain meadows, and snow mountain grass are collectively known as the 'Three Friends of Winter' above the snow line of Qilian Mountain. The representative of the Qilian Mountain Grassland is the Dama Ying Grassland, located in the basin between the Yanzhi Mountain and Qilian Mountain. Every July and August, the Qilian Mountain connected to the grassland remains covered in silver, while the grassland itself is a vast expanse of green, dotted with horses, cattle, and sheep.
