Pink Street

#celebratewithtrip Rua Nova do Carvalho in Lisbon, Portugal, is better known simply as “The Pink Street.” Lisbon’s pink street is located in a part of the city just outside the main tourist area. For many years Rua Nova do Carvalho was considered Lisbon’s red light district. In 2011 the street was painted for the first time, in an effort to change the area and make it more attractive to tourists. The street is closed to traffic, so people can walk at will . I don’t know who had the idea to paint the street a colour in order to fix all of its problems, but it worked. Lisbon’s pink street has become quite a trendy spot since it was painted. #tripblazers #fallingforfall
