Heavenly Ski Resort Opens Early

Thanks to the heavy snowfall this week, Tahoe's ski resort has decided to open early, a month ahead of last year's schedule. Since it's an early opening, the crowd is not too large, but only one express lift is operational, with wait times under 10 minutes. Non-express lifts have no queues but only offer a short green run. Longer green runs like Maggies, the blue run Mombo, and the black run Waterfall are open. The green runs are well-groomed and not crowded. The blue runs are ungroomed with moguls, and some areas have exposed grass and pine branches.
