I came from afar just to meet these lively elves—black-headed gulls. Walking along the dam, flocks of black-headed gulls fall like white snowflakes in front of me. They are agile, shuttling freely between the blue waves of Dianchi Lake and the blue sky, sometimes circling low, as if greeting tourists; sometimes flying high, crossing the sky, like lively notes playing a symphony in the sky. These visitors from afar cross mountains and rivers and regard Haigeng Dam as their warm post station. They are not afraid of the kindness of humans and gladly accept the breadcrumbs handed out by people. At that moment of interaction, time seems to become gentle and slow. Standing on the dam, the Sleeping Beauty of Xishan Mountain lies quietly beside me, and the vast waves of Dianchi Lake glisten in the sun, forming a beautiful picture with the graceful figure of the black-headed gulls. The wind blows across my cheeks, bringing the moisture of Dianchi Lake and the crisp sound of seagulls, and all the fatigue and worldly troubles are thrown away. Watching seagulls at Haigeng Dam is an intimate embrace with nature, a poetic dwelling of the soul between agility and tranquility, and a beautiful chapter engraved in the depths of memory that never fades.
