Salt Mine in Poland

Visited the amazing Wieliczka salt mines during our time in Krakow! We learnt so much about its history from our guide, and were amazed by the complex and beautiful salt sculptures all over. We were also very impressed that the miners even built their own chapels inside! We learnt that the chapels are entirely made of salt instead of wood to prevent any fires from happening as the miners would carry lamps around. #saltmines #krakow
