Half-day tour of Lamma Island

Lamma Island is one of the top destinations for island hopping in Hong Kong. Visitors usually take a ferry from Yung Shue Wan to Sok Kwu Wan, or vice versa. Today, it was too hot, so we walked from Yung Shue Wan Pier to Hung Shing Yeh Beach and then returned. We'll go hiking on the island again when the weather is cooler. Yung Shue Wan Main Street is very lively, with a typical island resort style. We had dim sum for lunch at the "Sampan Seafood Restaurant" (Figure 8). Yung Shue Wan Tin Hau Temple (Figure 6) is said to be a hundred years old, but the two stone lions at the entrance are obviously later additions, and their style does not match. The网红 "Kin Hing Ah Po Tofu Flower" (Figure 10) is located at the entrance to Tai Wan To Beach. It is said that Ah Po makes it by hand every morning. It has a strong bean flavor, but the price has gone up a bit (HK$16/bowl). Probably because it was morning, Hung Shing Yeh Beach was very quiet and beautiful. Sitting under the awning and having a glass of iced drink was very comfortable. It takes about 25 minutes to take a ferry from Central Pier 4 to Yung Shue Wan Pier. Along the way, you can enjoy the views of both sides of Victoria Harbour, the south coast of Hong Kong Island (Figures 19, 20), and the islands. Figure 17 is the Large and Small Tsing Yi Island.
