Healing on a Natural Red Carpet: Hitachi Seaside Park

I stopped by the day after going to the Mito Kōmon Festival and the Kairakuen Garden Fireworks Display. The Kairakuen, one of the three great gardens of Japan, and the Hitachi Seaside Park are about a 30-minute drive apart, so it was just right for an overnight stay and sightseeing. I went to Hitachi Seaside Park in October, so it was just the season for Kochia. I went first thing in the morning, but it was crowded with people. There were even more people on the way back, so I recommend going early in the morning. The view of the Kochia spreading out was breathtaking, and it was healing both up close and from a distance. Cosmos flowers were also blooming, and I could feel the autumn. Even though it was October, it was hot enough to wear just a long-sleeved T-shirt if there was sunlight. There were also many food stalls inside, so there was no shortage of food. Next time, I want to go during the Nemophila season★
