Guangzhou | I tried the No. 1 menu at Dian Dou De.

❤ Dian Dou De is so popular that I impulsively recharged my account. Since I already paid, I thought I might as well try the menu.🤣 Of course, I had to go several times to try everything, so I didn't waste food. Here's the first round, with a little review of each dish for your reference... 1️⃣ Durian Pastry: The crust is very crispy. It was probably cut with a knife before frying, so it has a circle of crispy strips "wrapped" around the durian flesh. Be careful when you pick it up, or it will break. There's a lot of durian flesh inside, so it's the real deal. 2️⃣ Signature Shrimp Dumplings: Can you believe there are three big shrimp in one dumpling?! I've had shrimp dumplings before, and I thought I was lucky if there was one big shrimp inside. But Dian Dou De has three, so they're very generous. 3️⃣ Golden Red Rice Roll: The red rice skin is sticky, and the golden slice in the middle is crispy. There are two big shrimp inside. Two! I've only ever had one in red rice rolls from other places. Dip it in the sauce. I like the one with chili rings.🤣 4️⃣ Crispy Dace Cake: The food is bigger than the picture, and I felt full after just one. The outside is crispy, and the dace cake inside is chewy. I thought it would be soft, but I prefer the chewy texture. 5️⃣ Nostalgic White Sugar Cake: It really is nostalgic, and it tastes just like the rice cake I had when I was a kid. The only downside is that it's cold. 6️⃣ Shunde Fish Congee: I like Shunde fish soup, so I ordered this as a substitute. The congee is rich, with fish, bamboo shoots, zucchini, tofu skin, peanuts, tangerine peel, and other ingredients. It tastes great, but you have to drink it while it's hot, or it won't taste as good. 7️⃣ Soy Sauce Fried Noodles: Just regular fried noodles. I mainly ordered it for the kids, and I think it tastes average. The ingredients include shredded carrots, eggs, luncheon meat, and vegetables. ❣️ The monk fruit tea is slightly sweet and delicious, and the kids like it too. 💰 Total cost: RMB 190 💯 Will order again: Durian Pastry, Signature Shrimp Dumplings, Golden Red Rice Roll, Nostalgic White Sugar Cake, Shunde Fish Congee ‼️ I went at 3 pm on a weekend, and there was no line. ‼️ That's the end of my first menu review.
